What is the Point of Setting Starting BId at $5 ,then State your Reserve is $10
You couldn't sell it at Fixed Price of $10 so why Set a Reserve
$5.01 My Bid

it is quite normal practice to set a reserve price higher than the start price on ebay, but the reserve price is normally 'hidden'.

It is not allowed to have reserve prices in Australian eBAy listings because of the hassles.

Reserve price only works if it is hidden.

Plus the Name is BareFootTech ,not bair foot

Yes and no. I have been an eBay member for several years and have had some experience there.
1) It is the practice to hide the Reserve price, but it is also a common practice for potential bidders to email asking what the Reserve price is, and for the seller to divulge the info.
2) Starting the bid at $5 and putting a $10 reserve on it when the reserve is not hidden, is rather pointless. W/ a reserve of $10 the lowest acceptable bid is $10. A bid of $5-$9.99 is meaningless. The purpose of starting at a low bid amt and having a higher *hidden* reserve, is to stimulate bidding and at the same time, protect the the seller from being forced to sell for under what he wishes to sell it for.
3)

That would be better. Just state that there is a reserve price on the auction. You may receive a PM from a member asking what it is and than it's your option as to how you want to handle it. Reserve price auctions are simply a technique used to draw bidders in, stimulate some activity to draw attention to your auction, and to guard you from getting stuck and having to sell at a lowball price. Letting a potential bidder in on the price won't hurt you- it satisfies him, he might bid on it, and meanwhile, the veil of secrecy is maintained for other potential buyers, if he doesn't make a bid.
PS Of course, eBay charges you dearly if you choose to format your auction this way, but at NP, the option is free. :)

Yes ,But My Comment about eBAY in Australia is Correct,We Don't Have a Reserve price System must be either starting bid or BIN pricing

And Yes My Bid was $5.01 ,but you apparently Didn't realise that .01 Was a Valid Increment SO $10 is My New Bid
