642 of 3 character domains deleted in 3 days. Why ??? A lot

I have just found out that there are about 650 three chatacter domains will be deleted in 3 days. It is realy huge quantity, most of them are .infos
What happen??? maybe it comes from a big invester?

There have been dumps like this of CCC info for several months as some of those who bought cheap 1 year regs last year as all the CCC info were selling out are confronted with standard price renewals. They seem to find new buyers almost as soon as they drop, again at the cheap one year price. I hear the run is almost over.

Yes, I think regfly was selling info for 59 cents or something like that which
made mass registration appealing. Mass renewal at 7-8 dollars is not so appealing.

Not all ccc domains are created equal. The vast majority appear to be the next to worthless LNL or NLN type domains.

Another reason is plain math. There are a total of 47,952 CCC domains in any TLD counting hyphens in the center position. 17576 are LLL domains and 1000 are NNN domains which are generally established to have some value. This means there are 29,376 domains with some combination of letters numbers, or a hyphen. Just for giggles, lets say 5% have some real value such as 4x4.tld or go4.tld. That leaves 27,906 junk ccc domains in any non-com TLD. If only half of the owners realize they have little development value and let them drop, then 268 would drop in any particular week. multiply that times several TLD's. Since many are bought on promotions that start on the same date, that will not be level and there will be bulk drops based on registering in promotions and buyers who bought dozens at a time. Add the ones people drop by accident and parkers found to be useless and you have some larger numbers yet.
