Hey all,

I've seen a few people suggest that we lower the 60 seconds between posting rule. What does everyone think about lowering it to 30 seconds maybe?

I know i've been here many times waiting to post something.

Just a suggestion. :)

Not so sure about that.. did YOUR post take a minute? sometimes you can say all you need to say in a few words. ;)

Even if the forum is faster it still doesn't mean that it should take you less than a minute to type a post...By the time you type out a few sentences, proofread it quickly, and hit submit it should have already been a minute.

I didn't actually time it, but I didn't get an error message :hehe: I understand what you are saying, but unless you have several threads open at the same time, you still also need to find the thread you want to read, and read the previous posts before posting. To your point I have gotten the error once or twice in all my times at NP, but out of 2,000 something posts, I don't think a couple of errors is significant to change that limit for me...

Well there appears to be mixed opinions on the matter :).

Why don't we try just reducing it a little bit for a test period and see if the spam level increases?

Just a suggestion... But ofcourse, no-ones going to leave NamePros because of it ;)

Well, in my.. however many posts I've got, I've never once hit the posting limit, so I really don't see the issue having it in place.

To effectively reply to a thread and read through all the previous posts, it takes at least 60 seconds (normally much longer) to do so.
