question 60 days lock matter

Hello guys, hope you are well :)

I have a domain, in my godaddy account, that can be transferred to another registrar only on July 28 so in about 9 days.

I sold this domain to another domainer but he doesn't like Godaddy and would prefer to transfer it to another registrar.

If I PUSH the domain to him, and registrant details are changed, will the date he can transfer the domain remain July 28th or will additional 60 days from July 28th be added BECAUSE OF the push?

Cause he is making me desperate saying that if 60 days are added to the date he can transfer to another registrar, he will back off the deal.

Thanks guys if you can help regarding this...

The following FAQ at Godaddy implies that if registrant information is changed (Even in a PUSH, the lock starts over)
Note: Domains can't be transferred within 60 days of new registration, transfer, or contact info change if the current registrant opted to apply a 60–day lock when approving the changes.

Doesn't sound like a solid buyer if they are concerned with a few extra lock days with info change on a domain they were obviously interested in enough to make an offer, since they would ultimately be in possession and the new registrant of the domain post-sale. Once the lock expires they can transfer anywhere they want to.

I think that's the major take-away to express to them.

It sounds a bit like they are just trying to find and process a reason to validate changing their mind on the deal (E.g. cold feet / early buyers remorse).

I sold a name recently 45 days after registration to a serious end user that had to wait for almost three weeks . No complaints, no problems. Domainers should be confident and not scared of such things.
