Hey guys...... I have a name regged at Moniker, which I recently got through Snapnames, but I want to transfer it to GoDaddy so I can put it on a premium listing there...... I'm just wondering if anyone knows if I will be able to do this or will I have to wait 60 days?

Thanks!

Yes, you'll have to wait 60 days before tranferring the domain out.

The 60 Day rule is only for new registrations. You should be fine to transfer it out?

Oh ok...... guess I could try then; just didn't want to pay GoDaddy & then have the transfer denied.

I kind of misread your post, for some reason I thought the domain was backordered using snapnames. If it was a push from another account and has been with Moniker for at least 60 days then you should be able to transfer out.

It also applies to Inter-Registrar transfers.

What does that mean? Like a push?

No.

Inter means between.

Intra would be within.

So an Inter-Registrar transfer would be transferring a domain from one Registrar to a different Registrar.

Intra-Registrar transfer would be pushing the domain from one account at a Registrar to another account at the SAME Registrar.

Isn't that only 45 days?

If it was a backorder which you won, the chances are it's been with Moniker the whole time. So no problem to transfer out. If you bought it from a seller at SnapNames, you might want to ask the seller how long it's been at Moniker, or look it up for yourself at domaintools.com.

60 days. But there are exceptions, for example when a domain is to be returned to the previous registrar, then the 60-day lock is lifted.

Well yeah... it was a pre-release name, not dropped... so it's been with Moniker the whole time.

No problem to transfer then. Which is what I said in my first post.

In that case yes, should be no problem.

But it depends on the venue and the registrar.
For example prelease domains at Enom, that are won through NJ are subject to a 42-day lockdown.

Either way you can still list the domain name as a premium. It doesn't have to be registered with GoDaddy to be listed as a premium domain name.

godaddy now holds you there for 60 days, once you changed your whois info.
