Hello everyone,
I see a lot of posts asking for this type of information, and also a lot of posts with inaccurate information, so I thought I would make this available to everyone.

If anyone sees a problem with any of my statistics please let me know...

***Keep in mind that about 1-2% more domains are registered than noted here.
This report was pulled from the zone file which exempts any domains without nameservers. Which as best as I can tell runs about a 1-2% average.

One way would be to do a quality analysis ("quality" as defined/set by Chinese).

Check the 15 letter names, especially repeating and patterns. Choose random 50-100 and see who owns them.

Then check the lnpqr regs and see % of Chinese.

My hypothesis would be that Chinese took about 75% of about 800,000 15 premium letters and about 25% of about 2MM of trashier ones, with some focus on city codes, "w" in the end etc.

Could it be Recons, that the value of those "premium+" chips is manipulated? I mean is this index transparent, or they are just selling them among friends, few people who bought more than 50%?

In my view there is a great chance that is the case (you are right ), those who late joined the game saw that most patterns are gone, so they made there own pattern and used there massive reg strategy to force everyone to think that way, that makes sense to me. But not sure 100% though :(

Thanks.

They are trendmakers. They might have 5-10% of all names, but they start the trends as they wish and they don't even need to provide any analytics behind.

Just look at LNPQR situation. I am yet to see any analysis why this letters and their pinyins got singled out. Except a wechat group Chinese guys with some representation from other countries decided that it is going to be the case. Then they buy what they need in smaller group of names that is easier to buy out and get its floor and premium status. Think 15 letter prem, w in the end etc. By the time others find about it, best ones/most/all are gone and now NP guys and the rest of the world will settle for lesser ones and/or pay premium to them.

They will also have some funds to participate in auctions to buy some volumes at higher prices and get things going. Once everything moves, they can cash out and/or keep part of it.

So, yes, of course it is manipulated. And no, they don't have to sell among friends. They just have to kickstart things and maintain while needed and the crowd will do the rest.

Recons I checked 20 CC with bad letters and they are in 90% (18/20) owned by Chinese... Some with "bad letters only" registered for years. I am so glad I was just buying those with "bad letters".

Yeah, there are no bad letters among those 20. Check on NP. All topics on this started in last 2 months.

What is CC?

Seems they prefer CC at the end, the same as 888....

CC... BJ, SH, CN...

Yeah, at least there is some logic to it. A potential end user will need to come up with 3 pinyin meaning, not 5, and then provide services locally.

But then, how many companies to you know called LLLTX, LLLDC, LLLNC, LLLWA, LLLAL etc? So, it is a nice story for things going and feel free to ride the wave, but I wouldn't plan on end user sales of any significance for long while.

I dont mind keeping them for few years. I mean I have like 95% domains with traffic, so with a small sample of 20 of them, I can survive.

20 or even 200 might not be a problem to test things. Of course, you won't make fortune, but you won't lose a lot either.

I bought Chyts.com at expiring auctions couple of months ago as brandable for game "cheats", never realized it is going to turn into 5L with premium letters only :D

I stated this pages back..
Just some troll who continues to push their own agenda to manipulate the nieve newbies with he said she said bull$hit.
Sad really seeing NP members who have been here for years falling for the oldest trick in the domain book of suckers.
