I see a lot of posts asking for this type of information, and also a lot of posts with inaccurate information, so I thought I would make this available to everyone.

If anyone sees a problem with any of my statistics please let me know...

***Keep in mind that about 1-2% more domains are registered than noted here.
This report was pulled from the zone file which exempts any domains without nameservers. Which as best as I can tell runs about a 1-2% average.

I agree with Joro. The sample of 4ls is different and can not be projected to 5ls which is much larger pool of combos. I mean the 4l .coms with 1 a,e,i,o,u were registered before any random wxgq.coms I guess. But there is a difference in price, so larger the pool, greater the price range. IMO

The reality is right now in China domains without LNRPQ are going for 3+ times what others with those LNRPQ letters are selling for (the stats don't lie): http://www.chaomi.cc/ymwqb/14/1

The question is post buyout will that continue or not?
From a selfish perspective I hope not and that everything will come together, but could easily see a price difference happening, like a two tier system so to speak post buyout and right now it can't be ruled out IMO.

Nobody knows actually. But I guess the difference will be 10 fold when the prices are formated. Its the same as with 888ABCD.coms, if it has "premium numbers" it could reach 300 or more, but when it ends with a 4 you hardly get 25 for it.

If somebody is willing to take a risk, I was checking 2 days ago random ABCKR.com if the kr is for Korea, I guess and there is an enormous pool of those still available...

I wish I felt as sure about how things are going to work as others feel. I simply can't see it that clear.

Anyway I tend to agree you can't project 4L to 5L in an automatic way, there are important differences between one case and the other.

Time will tell. And I'd say we won't need to wait for so long to see it.

China has a different train of thought, I myself ask who is going to buy all these domains, from resllers, and warehouse them, and try to sell them for higher.

After dealing with a few parties from China, I can see what some are attempting to do, there are some capital funds who have cash, and they are willing to warehouse the domains, constrict supply, and naturally demand should follow, at which point they are in a better position to name their price.

I can't imagine a End user company from the States trying to get their 4L.com, which is most likley in Chinese hands now, and trying to offer $1000, $2500, $5000, to only be countered with hostage like $50,000 numbers. Might work out well for 5L's

Everyone here is locked, and loaded, and waiting for that $50-60 floor to unload those triple premium 5L's they holding from Oct/Nov 15, it's no secret.

Its a strange market indeed. Ive noticed that in the last few weeks the prices of 7Ns skyrocketed. Some 7Ns are more expensive than comparable 6Ns. It seems there are more "collectors" of 7Ns than of the 6Ns. So we can only guess what will happen with 5Ls.

Small line, could be very important. I have spent enough time in the East to learn that substantial money gifts are a big part of holidays. If domains become acceptable or even trendy for this purpose .....

..... then perhaps we now see why the Chinese are buying everything in sight.

There are nearly no uses for vowels and V in Chinese, so the dividing line for CHIPs is real. RQPLN are, apparently, the least used letters of the 20. RQPL could be the worst 4, RQPLNF could be the 6 worst. There is a hierarchy, weaker letters are worth less, as they always have been, but there is not a real dividing line.

There is a similar break for English with premiums excluding JKQUVWXYZ, it is a manufactured line, but it has persisted for many years.

What I've noticed with 7N, it's a new domain niche (obviously) but there isn't many dropping per day. Perhaps 5 max on average right now, from this comes high bidding in drop auctions.

i added 50k avaliable 7N chips today.

i have 1.000.000 7N CHIPS list. i searhed 50K random from the list and i saw that %95 avaliable in list.

i think there is more time for 7N ..

Actually every chinese investor said to me that 5L WILL GO MORE than 150$ in a month after they are completed and they are thinking it might take march 2nd week to complete
