Hello everyone,
I see a lot of posts asking for this type of information, and also a lot of posts with inaccurate information, so I thought I would make this available to everyone.

If anyone sees a problem with any of my statistics please let me know...

5L.com and 7N.com Registration Statistics as of 1/4/16

***Keep in mind that about 1-2% more domains are registered than noted here.
This report was pulled from the zone file which exempts any domains without nameservers. Which as best as I can tell runs about a 1-2% average.

Approximately 350-400. Slow and steady...;)

Yep, slow and steady. It will take just 1000 days for completing the buyout. That is nothing compared to the age of our planet...

I guess all of you guys you should simply wait that "Chinese investors" buy the rest. After all it seems you are already fool...

I believe the plan was to create a rush, so they would be safe from buying the rest of 35%. It almost went according to plan, but....

There is meaning behind the letters and combinations. Its not that simple as with numbers.

"It's not that simple" - not a solid argument. At all... domains are supposed to be simple and easy to remember. Good ones at least. If people have to have a degree in rocket science, or have to "figure out", or dig through possible meanings, it's not a good domain. Ease of use and simple clarity is what makes something valuable. Point blank, period. No other possible truth.

Any change in 5 character registrations? Perhaps Chinese investors have turned their focus on other sets?

@wcpthree Couldnt disagree more. It could be that for average Chinese the word Food is much harder to remember than the lpyr.com, so your argument stands only from your perspective. If you are looking for Chinese investor simply try harder. But thats not a topic of this thread.

As a fellow owner of many 5L's who would like to see a return on mine, I didn't like your verbage, that's all. The entire point of short names is simplicity. Didn't mean to sound like a dick. For the record, I'm holding, I've only sold to pay for renewals so I'm not looking for investors at the moment unless I get a crazy offer that I can't pass up. My main rule is to reinvest only my profits. I haven't had to come out of pocket for a while....

Ive noticed recently 3-5 visitors per day on some of my LLLLL.Coms with a premium touch. Since it happened on DNS, I am wondering if bots are back in the game or traffic is real?

Nobody is really typing 5l.com even premium pattern. I don't get 3 uniques even on some good llll.coms. that is bot traffic to facilitate buyout and trading. Holders and potential buyers feel good if there is traffic as that might mean end users and parking revenue.

Same here on traffic, but on semi-premiums.

My "theory" is that this temporary pause or lag is caused by resellers flipping domains that are of better quality than the ones available for registration. I can see hundreds if not thousands being flipped on some of my registrars. Semi premiums going for anything between 15-20 usd, no R or N. Then again I'm half asleep so I could very well be babbling. Nevertheless, I am also considering buying a few...

5L.com are waking up.

Yes, it seems. Average prices have been increasing (except at NamePros) almost every day in the past 6 days.
