$50 logo contest domainspecialist.com

Hi NP.

I am looking for a logo for my website domainspecialist.com and would therefore start this design contest. The winner will be awarded $50. This contest will run until the 27.04.2006.

The current header will be changed to feature the logo on the right hand side or centre and the current picture will be removed. But if you have any suggestions for keeping this picture and incorporating your designed logo please also go ahead.


General description if design wanted:

I will keep the current colour code of the site. But please do not limit your examples to these few colours. I would like to have different colours in the logo then currently on the website, some brighter ones especially. But not more then 5 colours please. So please take this into consideration.

The slogan as currently on the site will be removed. Please only provide examples with domainspecialist.com as the text.

What this website does is pretty obvious I guess. But also try to include the trend of sustainable development in the log if possible. I guess everyone knows what sustainable development is but here is the wikipedia explanation. I would like to have this included because I specialize in these domain areas.

5. No tree. No line. Just an arc. Simple!

Note: If you want to use the logo for print mediums (as you say you do) then you need to make sure the logo is in full-vector format so that when it is resized, it maintains quality - I'd recommend the designers with entries so far confirm whether or not their entries are vector. For the record, mine is vector :p

Hello everyone.

Thanks for the brilliant logos so far.


Important general remark:

Please only provide logos which are in full vector format.


Comments on individual logos:

1) Domie: I like logo. But inmo a little bit dull (meant as no insult). Can you pep it up?
2) Vivsin: Nice logo. Really different. Could you try to put the domainspecialist.com around the SD? And leave the world out?

3) VickiUK: Yes, really different options. I prefer the third./ Simple version. Could you change the font to a little thicker? Any other options?

4) I prefer the second version. Is it possible to simplify the font a little and decrease the size of the “target to fit the domainspecialist.com?

5) Partick: Nice variations. I prefer the ds3 with the line underneath. Do you also have a totally different design?

6) Saves the day: I definitely like this better. Can you make the ds picture smaller and integrate it more in the text? If possible of course.

7) Umxca: I prefer the first logo of this version. Can you change the font to have a simpler logo? Maybe Arial or so.

8) Cesarian: I like the third version. Nice and compact. Also the first, with the DS.

9) Will7: Nice logos. I prefer the first. Could you like the people out. J And thanks for the vector tip.

1. Umxca: I like it. It is simple and clean. Could you include the .com? Thanks
