Logo Text: Business Portal

Size and Format: 250px x 100px for the website (also high res for printing purposes) png, vector-psd, pdf. Since the logo doesn’t have any tagline, please feel free to adjust the height proportionately, same goes for the width too.

Colour: – I’d prefer two colours, one should be #72c02c
Go to the site http://businessportal.com/ and get inspiration and ideas to pick the right colour and as well as font.

Style: Strictly Corporate.

General: The logo is required for businessportal.com, a website that will provide a platform for start-ups to network and exchange business ideas.

In many of the designs the image of bp is too big, it seems there are 2 different logos, one is bp and the other one is business portal. Whereas one logo is required: business portal.

You can add a small image if you have to but not two different logos. Please note that British Petroleum is a big organisation and we cannot mess with their logo: bp, can we? So, we have to be different.

Corporate style according to your needs. Minimalist design with a brand-able look/feel to it overall. Colors can be changed in a jiffy.

Less than one day is left. I’m surprised some designers have totally ignored the colour requirement. Please read my post again and spare a few minutes to understand what is required.

Also the logo required is not for a blog or a student’s school work, instead a proper corporate website. Please use elegant fonts and submit your concept again. Thanks.

The required dimension of the logo means I have to steer clear of any 'B" & 'P' combos as the long 'tail' will render the design a little unbalanced. So I focused on the words 'business' and 'portal.' Rather than going down the usual route of briefcases, ties and other familiar icons of business, I chose to gave 'portal' plenty of thought. In the end, I decided on a spiral design to complement the text which not only gives an abstract interpretation of a portal, it is also distinctive. Plus, with a little depth, the design plays tricks on the eyes, in that, you can't determine the direction of the rings. Additionally, it can be used as the favicon for your site.
