Hi NP.

I am looking for a logo for my website domainspecialist.com and would therefore start this design contest. The winner will be awarded $50. This contest will run until the 27.04.2006.

The current header will be changed to feature the logo on the right hand side or centre and the current picture will be removed. But if you have any suggestions for keeping this picture and incorporating your designed logo please also go ahead.


General description if design wanted:

I will keep the current colour code of the site. But please do not limit your examples to these few colours. I would like to have different colours in the logo then currently on the website, some brighter ones especially. But not more then 5 colours please. So please take this into consideration.

The slogan as currently on the site will be removed. Please only provide examples with domainspecialist.com as the text.

What this website does is pretty obvious I guess. But also try to include the trend of sustainable development in the log if possible. I guess everyone knows what sustainable development is but here is the wikipedia explanation. I would like to have this included because I specialize in these domain areas.

Hi, here's my first entry. Feedback appreciated.

Feedback on the three designs so far:

1) VickyUK: I like the idea of a globe, but I think it has been over used. So this is not for me. What about a different colour? Green inmo does not fit on my website.
But please send me another design if you have the time.

2)ZeniusVanisher: I like the blue colour scheme not the green. But what was the idea about the bubbles and the wave? I would like to have it cleaner in looks preferably. The font is nice. Do you have other logo ideas?

3) Partick: The ds3 is definately my favouriate. I especially like the idea where you position the .com and the DS. Could you also play around with some other colours and the positioning of the DS? Do you have some other ideas as well?

I hope this is useful feedback so far.

Of course, any colour or font can be used here, and the line underneath could be altered.

I originally had a very thin blue arc over the image to very subtly represent the World (you said you liked the idea of a globe), I can make that again if you'd like to see it.

Thanks for the logo entries so far. A general announcement before I comment on the individual designs:
The contest will end next Thursday the 27.04.2006. I guess 1 month was to long. Fair enough.

Answer to VickiUK: Yes, I am also planning to use the logo on printed material. Business cards, letters, etc. To what extent do you have to consider this in the logo design?

Comments:

1) cesarian: I like the first logo. But the letters could be thicker.

2) Fried-chicken: I really like the idea. And the black and blue. Could you make the target (or whatever it is called) smaller and combine the black and blue colours?

3) Saves the day: I like the both of the designs. The Second is nice and compact.

4) Zenius: I especially like the third version with border around the letters. Is there a different way to integrate the DS?

5) Saves day 2: Like the logo. Could you integrate it in the domainspecialist.com? You where right about the length. Next Thursday is deadline. Thanks for the advice.

6) Umxa: Like it but a little bit to bold. Could you integrate the DS differently?

7) VickiUk: Like it. Could you show me the globe option?
