I am going to have a little poll running here for people to vote on 50Cent and post their comments about him. I personally think he will be nothing in about two or three years.. I think this because this guy has been underground for about five or six years now, and NO ONE has looked at him. Well no one until EMINEM brought him above ground. This is kind of like Dr. Dre, he had nothing really going until Eminem rapped once with him, and then they were both really big:kickass:. Don't get me wrong, I do indeed like 50 Cent's music and I can relate to it. But the only reason he is big is because Eminem and Dr. Dre put him out there. :D

Anyone else for a civil argument? :p

Eminem has helped a lot, but I would hardly say he's the only reason 50 Cent has achieved his popularity in rap music. Just check out his music from before hooking up with Em and Dre, its as good as it is today.

I would take your bet and say he'll be around just as strong in a couple years from now.

Are you serious?? You think Dre needs Eminem?? That's the funniest thing ever!! You're probably too young to remember rap music way back when but I started listening to rap when I was VERY young. Yes, I'm not much younger than you.. but if you could say that and be serious you obviously are just following a trend. Dre has been around MUCH longer than Eminem and had many hits and platinum records.. so what are you talking about!?

50 is a trend.. he'll be gone soon.. if I'm lucky

Agree in most, BUT, some of fifty's freestyles (don't know if you follow them or not) include Ja Rule. He talks about how much of a "bitch" Ja Rule is simply because Eminem got envolved with him. Same with X-Zibit.

Free shows are always nice. He was in Portland, Maine about six months ago but I chose not to pay sixty bucks to see him..

Sorry to say this.. but thats what pisses me off the most about people who dont listen to Eminem, and read about his history. When did he say "im gonna $#%^ my mother with a microphone will i shove I vicoden up her !@#"??!?!?!?!! That's a crock ;X He talks smack about his mother only because all during his life she was telling him that he had mental issues and didn't fit in with people because of that. Too top it off, his mother did drugs and popped pills in front of his eyes from his early days. Thank god you didn't meantion him talking about Kim.. but Kim is a whore :X No lies here.. She SLIT HER WRISTS IN FRONT OF HER DAUGHTER. Hows that for great mothering?! Almost like Eminem's mother but at least his mom only did drugs (Eminem stopped doing drugs for Haily [and the fact he was on probation]). In the song "Haily's Song" Eminem says this in the third verse: God, im a daddy, im so glad that her mum didn't *censored* (want her) Hows that once again for mothering skills? SHE DIDN'T WANT HER? So how can you possibly shoot down Eminem for talking like that about Kim? Eminem and Kim had broken up, but now for some unknown reason to my knowlage they are going back out.

Dr. Dre and Eminem both talk about how Eminem made them both bigger stars in the rap scene. Dr. Dre didn't NEED Eminem but picking him up sure as hell did help him a lot, and I mean a lot.

I dont deny that he has skills but his is a fad. I think he will be in the music industry for some time but he will fade out as a artist

I can't really say, no, I don't like him, because I obviously don't know anything about it, but what I don't like, is the fact that he and other rap artist's are ruling our charts with their music! Yeah, it might be by public demand, but I just can't stand that kind of music.

It really anoys me that it even gets played several times somedays on Radio 1. I mean, I email in to play a song I want to listen to and they make up some excuse, yet somebody else wants to listen to 50 cent, 'due to high demand' off course, and they play it. Yes, might be good for listener hits, but when your playing the same tune time after time, it gets anoying. I was sick of P.I.M.P when I first heard it, I break down when I hear it now!

Isn't the charts meant to be 'pop', yet they play soo much other styles of music, it's unbelievable. Can't we have the days of Spandau Ballet and The Human League back!? Now, that was great pop music!

Now the 80s had real music! :D Give me Spandau Ballet, Human League, Depeche Mode and The Cure over what goes on the radio now. Not that I don't like today's music - I'm okay with Eminem, Pink, Kylie, and lots of others.
