$5.53 Transfer Discount at Unstoppable Domains

Regular price for a .COM transfer is $11.05. With this discount, a .COM domain can be transferred for $5.52.

The offer requires that the domain remain registered with UD for the entire first year. If at any time during the first year period, the Customer wants to transfer the domain to another registrar, Customer must first pay UD the 50% savings (maximum $5.53)

Limit: The total discount for all transfers cannot exceed $11,000 per customer.

Has anyone transferred any names Out of UnstoppableDomains ? How easy is the process of transferring out of them (incase I need to transfer out later next year.. ) ?

I am more interested in transferring OUT of them. How easy it is to get transfer code from UD ?
Remember the early days when registrars try all tricks to make it difficult to transfer out so you end up renewing at higher cost.

Through our dashboard, under each domain there is a transfer option and you can use it to get the code yourself. They have mentioned about renewal fee in the other thread that there wont be any significant change in the fee. As long as domain is in the grace period you can transfer out without renewing

Early transfers out / account push (before 1 year) require you to repay the $11.05/transfer cost.
After 1 year, you’re free to move or renew as you like.
Transfer out during the grace period (i.e. 40 days after expiry) is allowed without penalty.

the catch, as described earlier in this threadand other threads, is that if you transfer out or push or sell the domain before 1 year has passed, you need to pay back the discount (max $5.54). this is a fraud prevention measure. it should be a minimal cost given a 1% STR, since you are still getting 99% of the savings. you are not obligated to renew with us, you can transfer out after 1 year has passed, including during our 40 day grace period, at no cost

renewal fee is being dropped near ~$10 soon, announcement to follow.

FYI it's not only while the domain is in the grace period that you can transfer out with no fee. as long as 1 year has passed you can transfer out no fee

Im trying to transfer a domain out that was a 5 buck transfer in i did this in the past for another one but now there trying to charge me 11 bucks when it should be 5 and change is there a code i need to use

never did this yet cause mo sales there.. plus u can always sell with push at low 3% and no transfer needed... but obviously nobody should ask u 11 extra.. just 5

so what u have is either bug or u maybe seeing 11 total??? not extra

why cant u sell onsite with push??? only 3% fee

It's my first day at Unstoppabledomain, and frankly, I'm not satisfied at all. I run a small server at home, and for that, I need a Glue DNS service. However, customer service told me they couldn't provide such support. Now, I want to transfer to another company, and I've sent an email for that as well. Customer service hasn't replied. Their domain DNS services offer fewer features compared to rival companies

Just to understand your situation, are you running your own (2) nameservers?

Yes, I run my own name servers. For example, ns.example.com redirects to the IP address. I've been using this feature for many years. This is the first time I've encountered a company that doesn't have one.

I agree, any reputable registrar should offer the ability to configure glue records. Since I don't have a login for Unstoppable Domains myself, I can't look with you unfortunately.

Hopefully @Unstoppable Domains can respond in this thread soon.

Maybe other members on this forum can tell whether it's possible at UD.

sorry you're having trouble. we're only a year old so some of these rare features we don't have yet. Only 2 customers ever have requested it. hopefully we'll add it in a few months

I've let customer support know you're trying to reach them. if possible we can waive any transfer lock so you can transfer out
