I'm a fan of Mr.Mann, and believe that he provides the industry with a lot of instruction on how to properly price domains.

Many investors would have sold this for $500 - $1500.

If you own 300.000 or so, bring home $400.000 p/m with your website you are a multi million dollar company with employees and bills like every multi million dollar company has.

Hundreds of thousands of domains + a huge wallet = being able to sit on a domain 'till the end of time ( aka when the right offer comes in )

He does not need to undersell, he is a multi million dollar company.

With this said though, congratulations to him for not having accepted a lower offer.

That's definitely it. He knows the right names(picks loads of the best drops/expiring names). He has a financial war-chest so can register or purchase thousands of new names every month. Then he can sit on them indefinitely. It is an unbeatable combination. Quality+Money+Time.
