The new weekly domain sales Report is out at DNJournal.com. A flood of January sales data (including completed sales from the live domain auction at NamesCon) resulted in some impressive entries on our latest all extension Top 20 Sales Chart. Four of those reached six figures – all from the .com camp that piled up 17 of the 20 chart entries. Even so, the new gTLDs wound up with their their best aftermarket week to date. In addition to placing two names on the Big Board (one in the top five) they swept 16 of the 20 entries on the Non .Com gTLD Top 20 Sales Chart (with other four entries all going to .nets). IMHO, I could have seen web.hosting going for much more.... Im in this niche and know how much money is made via small-medium web hosting companies. Profit margins are good and Web.Hosting is brand-able and self explanatory. If this dense't get developed I see it selling in the future for much higher!

web.hosting is definitely one of the top 10 new gtld domains. In fact, right now I can't think of a better ngtld domain except real.estate. Even at reseller rates $50K was a bargain imo.
