I've noticed on GoDaddy that 4 letter .coms are popular. They almost all have a bid. DO you think 4 letter .coms will grow in value in a big way over the next few years? I'm not sure that ones with z, x, q etc will grow so much.

Do you invest in 4 letter .coms?

They are great for short branding names.

Short & simple. They are worth a lot if pronounceable.

Yes, they all get at least one bid, from domainers.
Then domainers will drop them after a few years, because no end user was found.
Next, other domainers will pick up where the others have left.
And the show goes on... :)

A lot, if not most of LLLL.com are garbage :imho:

PS: see for yourself how much LLLL.com are selling for on NP

The only LLLL's that are really selling for decent $$$$, is the good pronounceable ones.

And Im not talking about one's like "PYCX.com" and trying to pass them off as prems.

All others are just recycled $hit that gets passed around like the local you know what.

One buys a random for $15-$20 and sells it a year later for less.

Its a vicious cycle.

Worth the time to find a Good deal.
If they Contain Crappy Letters, I suggest a buying price under $14.
You may sell it for the same price or more.

I even sold crappy letters for $200 on sedo.

My best 4 LLLL for now are UPRU.com (4K on Namerific)
and OLLB.com (Quad Premium Letters)

Don't Buy a 4 LLLL because they are rare.
Buy it only if it make sense!

One thing to remember is that you make money on the buy.

They go up and they go down. The reseller market for LLLL.com's still isn't where it was 3-4 years ago, but it's not at the point where you'll be able to hand reg any of them.

I still believe there is a value for them and I would still register them (anything triple premium and above)..but I think it will be a long time before crappy 4L.com's are selling for at least mid $XX on these boards and across the web again..
