I'd heard somewhere that all the 4-character domain names were taken. Though there should be about 1.6 million of them available, not including hyphens. That's 36 (26 letters+10 numerals) to the power of 4.
The thing is, if you're going to reg a name, I figure it should mean something. Ideally it should be a dictionary word, but rest assured that those are all taken. I ran a script today and confirmed that.
But back to the topic of 4-char hand regs. I was really shocked tonight to learn that the following were available.
2oho.com
y3lp.com
I may be swimming into dangerous water here, but you only live once.
Now what was really weird about 2oho.com is that GoDaddy offered it to me for .99. I didn't have to enter a coupon code, and it's been a while since a .99 coupon code has worked for me. In fact, I had to buy y3lp.com for $3. But GoDaddy wanted me to have 2oho.com for .99. It didn't show that a coupon code had been applied. It was just GD's gift to me.
Weird? I say so.
