Yes, there was a problem with the transfer if you did not disable privacy Whois protect. They may have already fixed this.

I don't like that you can't register names if you are not in the country where your debit card / PayPal is registered. That's super backwards.
They might be the only company that do that.
Their system threats you as a scammer and you must contact support to register manually. LOL

Quoting z.com support response regarding transfer out of domains:

" If you wish to transfer out your domain. Kindly ensure the following before processing transfer to another domain registrar.

• Disable domain registry/transfer lock
• Disable ID protection/WHOIS proxy

If both above are disabled, you may proceed to initiate your domain transfer out and expect to receive a system mail on your domain's registrant email. The mail contains and requires your approval regarding the transfer. Approve it and your domain will be successfully transferred out. Failure to approve the mail will result in transfer fail."

I followed the steps and successfully transferred out my domains.
