That's not a very encouraging sale for a potential game changing technology, especially considering that the dot com will most likely never be available. I think buyers are either asleep at the wheel or running out of money. Can't believe it dropped in the first place.

Yeah, that was a bargain for the buyer imo, he will certainly won't regret that purchase.

... or maybe instead of placing the blame on outside factors it's time admit two key points:

1. 3D is a very fragile area of domaining. Decent sales are mostly dependent upon 3D hype within mainstream society, which has severely died down over the past few months. You never hear about 3D anymore. 3D speculators chose to ignore this possibility and instead believed that 3D was going to be all the rage going forward.

2. The initial run on 3D domains produced a handful of decent quick flips, but that model traditionally burns out fast and 3D was no exception.

So what we have left on the market are long term holders that bought their good domains years ago and the sellers from the "Great 3D rush of winter 2009" that can't sell anything because of the two reasons stated above.

Yes some have said as 3d TV becomes standard no one will think of it as 3d anymore. But that is just TVs and screens - there are also 3d objects and holograms to think of, but who knows if consumers will use the word 3d to talk about and buy that stuff.
