Unstoppable Domains — AI StorefrontUnstoppable Domains — AI Storefront
This is a completely web based VR experience:

A good example of why I think it might be a good idea to diversify a bit into 360-domains, if one's budget allows it. There is also for an example https://www.im360.com/, the problem with 360-domains (also benefit in a way, as it allows more ways to sell), is that because 360 can also refer other stuff, it is hard to find good domains to reg.

Why 360-degree cameras have become 2016’s must-have travel accessories

Put away your selfie stick and forget about virtual reality; why 360-degree shooting is this year’s hottest trend

Travel photographers and videographers are going crazy about 360-degree photos and video that let you look in any direction. Cameras and phones capable of shooting in 360 degrees are everywhere, Facebook now supports 360-degree uploads, and YouTube is promising live 360-degree streaming video with “spatial audio” from music concerts. Have travellers, photographers and TV producers found a new way to tell their stories?

Google Will Broadcast I/O Keynote Live on YouTube in 360-Degrees

We’re just under a day away until Google’s annual I/O event kicks off and we can expect virtual reality to be a hot topic during the developers conference.

Even if you’re not one of the lucky few to be in attendance, Google will of course broadcast the keynote live on YouTube so you don’t miss out. And with YouTube just having updated their iOS app to fully support Google Cardboard VR viewing of videos, you will also be able to watch the live stream in 360-degrees.

If you want an even more immersive viewing experience of the I/O keynote, you can drop your phone into a Google Cardboard headset to get that full virtual reality experience, like you are actually sitting in the front row.

Intel will deliver 360-degree replays for NBA Finals

Intel said today it is expanding the use of its 360-degree replay technology for the NBA Conference Finals and The Finals.
Intel acquired startup Replay Technologies, which built the technology by setting up dozens of ultra high-definition cameras to capture the video from all angles. It then uses massive Intel server processing power to create 3D views of the video, allowing the broadcasters to freeze the action and then rotate the view.
The tech is being used as part of national broadcast games on ABC, ESPN, and Turner Sports. Intel’s 360-degree replay technology was also used during the 2016 NBA All-Star Game in Toronto.
Intel 360-degree replay technology stitches together video captured by these cameras into one seamless shot, which can then be manipulated and rotated. These replays will be available to fans during broadcasts or via NBA.com, the NBA App, and social media.

Facebook 360 Photos

Share an immersive view of your world

step-1-image.png

What is a 360 photo, and how is it created?
A 360 photo is a photo that allows you to view the scene from every angle: above, below, behind and next to you. You can create 360 photos by using special 360 camera hardware, taking a panorama on your iPhone, or snapping a photo sphere from certain apps on your Android phone, including Street View and Google Camera. When you share these photos on Facebook, they'll automatically be converted into an immersive 360-degree view.

NBA, NHL ticket sales on Rukkus jump after virtual reality integration

The National Basketball Association and the National Hockey League saw a spike in sales through ticketing application Rukkus after it was updated to provide a 360-degree view of venue seating locations.

NBA and NHL fans will now be able to get a more comprehensive feel for their seats at sporting events before attending through Rukkus’ new app, which features a virtual reality experience along with updates such as ticket-sharing via SMS and 3D Touch on iOS. the 360-degree ticketing experience comes at a time when imagery is a necessary aspect of purchasing on mobile and digital, and as users become more comfortable and excited about virtual reality, with a survey revealing that 81 percent of Rukkus’ customers would prefer a panoramic view.

WHY 360 DEGREE VIDEO ADS ARE THE FUTURE OF ADVERTISING

The world is a big, round place with lots to see and we’ve been looking at it through cropped lenses for far too long! Well that’s the sentiment you might start to have after you’ve experienced even the slightest bit of 360-degree content that’s steadily making its way onto the market. Truth is that since the early days of black & white TV in the mid-twentieth century to the proliferation of color TV in the late 60s all the way to the advent of the smartphone in the 21st century, man’s perspective of a video captured world has been limited.

For far too long we’ve been relegated to seeing exactly and only what the director and other content creators have wanted us to see. The thing is this goes against our physical and psychological make-up. We naturally have a field of view that is anywhere from about 180-200 degrees. Add to that our ability to turn around, look up and down, etc. and pretty soon you start to realize that for years we’ve been cheated.

That’s all about to change as 360° video assuredly makes its way to the mainstream. It’s a snowball that’s quickly turning into an avalanche as one by one, brands start to integrate 360° video into their marketing plans and the likes of Facebook and YouTube make it easier and easier for consumers to share their own 360 content. A quick glance at the views of this nascent content platform and you’ll see a trend already beginning to emerge. From entertainment properties to insurance, to news outlets and even Brazilian singers (Ivete Sangalo’s 360° video of her hit song has racked up more than 18 million views to date!), all kinds of product categories and personalities are accumulating millions of views as they experiment with what could perhaps be one of the most natural viewing experiences outside of everyday reality.

Inside The NBA's Plan To Give Every Fan A (Virtual Reality) Courtside Seat

In February, the league will begin serving up 360-degree video on Samsung's Milk VR. But it's already thinking much bigger.

The NBA has a problem of its own making: It has spent years and many millions of dollars fostering international basketball fandom, and now has large and enthusiastic bases in places like China and India. But most far-flung viewers only know the NBA as a television show. They will never be inside an arena, cheering with other fans, having the kind of experience that turns casual fans into lifelong ones.

That’s why the basketball league is now toying with a big idea: What if fans everywhere could attend games using virtual reality—just put on some goggles, and score the best seat in the house? "When the day comes that 100 million or a billion people from mainland China can feel like they're attending a Houston Rockets game courtside, that's the dream. That's the holy grail," says Jeff Marsilio, the NBA’s associate vice president of global media distribution. "That's what we're working toward."

We’re not quite there yet. But come February, basketball fans around the world will get regular doses of virtual-reality basketball. The NBA is an initial partner in Milk VR, the virtual reality video network that Samsung launched Monday. The league is still experimenting with the kind of content it will offer, and Marsilio says he’s thinking big—offering perspectives from courtside during games, mid-court during team practices, in the locker room before a game, and maybe even sitting at the table with on-air commentators.
