$30 Quick and Easy Banner/Logo with cartoon character

I need a 608 wide by 100 high graphic for a site.

I would like a nice cartoon character as part of the header/logo. Please give the banner/logo a white background with no border.

This character should look extremely helpful. The banner should be simple and clean, as in "no complex designs, animations, etc."

Payment is $30 by Paypal only.

I'd like to end this contest Friday, Dec 9th at Noon, Central Time (US), but may end early if I find a winner, so get your submissions in early.

Please post all questions here and do not PM me concerning this contest. I'll try to post feedback often.

The cartoon character just does not grab me. Could we try a less "comic" type font? Something more professional looking. I don't mean REALLY professional, like a cease and desist, or a lawyer's letterhead, just less comic.

Very nice, I like it! I think that I would prefer the black outline on all the words, though. The words with the black outline really stand out.

I see a few of you are cutting images out found off of the web (perhaps google/yahoo image searches). Please do not do this... that is unfair to the contest holder as all contest holders are looking for something original to represent them and their companies/organizations. Remember, any time you are dealing with the identity and represenation of a group/organization your artwork should be original... it would be a shame for someone to pay $30 for a logo/header here and then get sued for 100 times more than that.

I sure like that detective character. Please try a different font. Keep the colors and shading, but try a different font.

Sometimes I feel guilty when there is a design that a really, really like that just needs to be tweaked. At that point, there is no point in giving comments and asking for revisions to the other entries.

So just to save you all a lot of work, I'd like to choose a winner even though his entry is not the final result that I would like.

I'm going to go with GFX^^.

I'm hoping that he will make a couple of changes for me. If not, I'll be back.

Exactly.. anyone can find an image off google and incorporate some text to it and call it a logo.. A real designer is someone who can do everything original..
