Are all 3 letter .coms worth at least like 1k? Because If I can get some for mid - high $$$ but the acronyms don't mean anything, should I?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Unless they are very obscure or impossible to assign meaning to, I would say jump on them. Even w/ problematic letters, they probably would still be a good investment @ under $1K.

If you decide not to take them, or not buy all of them, please PM me, as I would be interested. (Along w/ a few other members, I'm sure).

I think so.

Particularly if there are no X Y Z K in it.

And even if you had ZKX.com ... it would worth 1K+ I suppose.

But let see what others will say since I'm not a 3 L specialist !

Thanks for our replies, would appreciate some more. Also, what about letters like Q V W.

IMO these are not "bad letters" but if you have all of them in the same name, ie WQV, that's not really nice !

But I would be happy with something like VDS or TQM or WPR ... (did not check if they stand for something special ... just examples)

And of course, if you can have a vowel in one of them, that's super :)

If you do not want to take risks ... check the possible meanings, with www.acronymfinder.com for example.

Q is more and more popular in Chinese, and W, and X are heavy used in Chinese language also.
So I think there is NO BAD letter that you can always find them are getting popular somewhere in the world.

what about 4-letter .com's?
What about 4 digit alpha-numeric .coms like 4ecg.com?

Thanks

So you guys think that even with 3 bad letters I can make at least mid $$$ which is how much they will cost.

Any combo below $1k and the worst you will do is break-even if you have to sell. Regarding the question about 4 letter-char combos - not even worth reg fee to me since there are so many still available.

XKE would be worthwhile (Jaguar XKE)..

No hard and fast rules but the more meaning that can assigned to the letters the better...

Hello!

I love 3-letter combos and I can tell you that I have never lost money on a single 3-letter sale on any extension, certainly including 3-letter .coms. I would say that if you can buy under $1k regardless of the letters, go for it. You won't lose money and if you hold it for a few months, you're almost certain to make some $$. Hold it for a year or more and you could easily double your money or better, at least in view of the quick rise in 3-letter values over the last 3-4 years. History, supply and demand are certainly on your side!

Good luck and go for it!

:) Andrew

.com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, .us, and now (don't laugh) many of the 3 letter .cc domains are going. Getting close to half that are registered. At $24.95 people choke but look what 3 letters are selling for. Speculative I agree but I found a few gems that I thought were worth an investment like GED.
