I don't usually keep stats on my work, but since I posted a "year end review" last year, I figured I'd do one for this year too. This was 2024: https://www.namepros.com/threads/my-year-end-udrp-roundup.1340191/
There's an outside chance that one of the pending cases I'm defending might reach a decision before the end of the year, but since it's that time of year when everyone does their year-end wrap-up, I'll update if necessary.
I had a few more UDRP defenses than last year, and they went relatively well. There was one case that was an agreed transfer, so it wasn't really a "defense" in any real sense, but here's how they shook out. I thought November was a crazy month with four decisions issued this month (they issue a couple of weeks after the work is done), but I didn't realize I had five decisions in July, and still averaged two a month. The ones marked in bold were RDNH decisions:
I pulled these from UDRP.tools, so it might be incomplete. Once in a while the data tagging is off.
Out of this year's batch, a couple stand out as having been a lot of fun. In Concreted.com, the complainant was represented by a "brand protection agency" called Marqvision which relied heavily on AI for their filings. That was a portent of things to come in Nexim.com and UpscaleAvenues.com, which were both done by people who figured AI could win their case. All I have to say is that I hope more people start using AI for these things, because I really do love pointing out when it goes off the rails.
I enjoyed working with @Igor Gabrielan on Voices.ai. That one was interesting and had some unique issues.
Rams.com was interesting. It's not everyday you get to go up against a professional football team, although the Complainant in Cripto.com has a stadium named after them. So those two cases are sort of bookends to the year.
Anyway, there might be one more to drop, and I'll update if so.
