$20 Header Contest

Just a quick update here...The nature of the project has changed, and I am now changing the deadline to two days from today, Thursday, January 19, 2006 @ 8:00 PM EST. Also, to encourage designers further, I have decided to increase the prize a bit, offering 500 NP $ to a second place designer if I see a second design that catches my eye, or if there is no second place, the 500 NP $ will go to the first place winner, in addition to the $20 via PayPal.

Hello,

I am in need of a header for my website, www.PS3insider.net. The winner of the contest will receive $20 via PayPal. I have a couple of examples of headers that I like, that you could base your designs off of:

http://www.360gamer.net

I like the rounded edges that xboxpoint has...

But with all that in mind, I am open to anything. Be creative! :D There are a few requirements that I would like with this design:

-Must be 760 X 200
-Must not be animated in any way

This contest will be open for six days, ending Sunday, January 22, 2006 @ 8:00 PM EST. I will try to keep you guys updated with comments about each entry. If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me, or post here. Thank you very much,

Timme - Not crazy about using game graphics in the header...I would like it to be more focused on the actual PS3, rather than the games

firestorm - Same thing as Timme, not crazy about the game graphics...Also, I am not crazy about that font that you did the "Insider" in

flashguy - I like your designs, but I'm not sure why you included pictures of the Xbox 360 and PSP. If you include pictures of PS3, I think your design is nice. Also, on the bottom one, I am not crazy about the Xbox green. Could you change the color of that, and again put in a picture of the PS3?

SB_GEMINI - I like it a lot...My only suggestion would be to lighten that bright light in the middle. The color scheme is good, but that one white spot hurts my eyes to look at.

robertm05 - Very solid entry...My only suggestion would be to change the corners to the rounded corners, and also, change the slogan to "An Insider's Source for Everything PS3!" I like the simple, but nice design.

flashguy - I like the first entry a lot...It definitely looks a lot better than the first entry with the Xbox 360

Thanks everyone for their submissions...Still five and a half hours left for a last minute submission. Right now, it looks like its going to be a tough decision...

johan design - I like the font, but the images in the back are very jaggedy...
