don't you own the domaintops.com site? so your own automated evaluation site put really high appraisals on these names?

I don't get what you're implying... I did not rig the system at all. I would show you the code but I would not want others to copy it.

You can evaluate it yourself :) But for now, I think these are a steal.

i'm not saying there's anything wrong with the quality of the names. all i was getting at, is that its a little shady to use an appraisal as a selling point without disclosing that the appraisal came from your own site. good luck with the sale.

Ah - good point. I never thought of that, but then again... does RJ need to post a topic in the Appraisals thread and later sell the domain and say it was appraised at his own site, NamePros.com? Besides, I don't control what the result is - the keywords and Google / OVT results do.

But thanks anyways... (here, they were both appraised at low-mid $xxx so this really IS a steal.)

in the hypothetical situation you speak of, the difference would be that RJ's system didn't appraise it. users would. as long as we're into hypotheticals, if RJ created an auto-appraisal system and then tried to sell his domains using his auto-appraisal as a selling point (without disclosing this fact), that would be dishonest -- just like this real scenario is. i dont know how your system works to come up with an appraisal -- all i was getting at was by not disclosing your ownership of the appraisal system that you referenced, it left me, as a potential buyer, feeling skeptical of the appraised value.

Ah. Okay ;) Thanks for letting me know. I never thought about that with the automated appraisals or anything so I'll keep that in mind next time. I've updated my original post.

Any offers then? If not this price?

*bump* :D
