.mobi 1st .Mobi Drop List

Don't get excited, it's not here yet.

I'm looking for opinions on who thinks the 1st drop lists could be useful for obtaining some good .mobi names.

I think that by Oct, .mobi is going to be rolling so hard that nobody is going to be dropping anything good.

What do you think?

Don't forget ... I believe that 1 year regs started in Jan. 2007 so the earliest drops would be Jan. 2008. Things mobi should be shaping up nicely by then!

I think 10-20 % of all .mobis will drop as soon as they expire...many of the crap names were the ones on 1 year regs cause the pickings were slimmer by then...so they will go first.

I think it will be healthy to get the crap names gone and the rest will be a better stable of sites and names.

Good thoughts ... but I think the "drop rate" will be MUCH higher by then, IMHO. :red: :o

I haven't played the drop game much at all but I'll be learning by January 08. The fact that parking revenue is so weak I think will hamper some people to renew if they overextended themselves in the first place.

Parking revenue is weak for everything lately it seems. I got my first 1.00+ click finally today after about 2 weeks.

The thing with dropped domains is that you need to try and backorder them at every registrar you can think of if you really want the name. That way you have a better chance of getting it.

I got my first hit today on a niche name -- benfotiamin.mobi
It will be nice to see if more people are getting hits to non-mobile niches, rather than the obvious mobile friendly sectors.
