1plus.net - Not a plus

A week ago I moved 7 of my better domains to 1plus.net including CreditCardsIndustry.com and BetterHomeBusiness.com

Since then, they have not earned a penny. The sites appear to be up and working, but no visitors or revenue according to google.

I am disappointed once again and will think twice before I go through the bother of applications and handing out all my vital personal data.

Like many others of you, I get no response to support questions. There are absolutely no stats, so I could not argue with them that the domains had previously received traffic.

I will be removing the domains from 1plus.net and I won't go back to them.

Thought I would share this with you all.

PM Badger, their email is down and they are trouble shooting any problems through pm's to badger. One week? Did you set up google analytics? Their hit counter on your domains is broken last I heard so that wont count. I am getting traffic on my names and they onle been there about 2 weeks. Alot of the traffic is from here however, but not all of it.

I'd give it some more time and pm badger.

Thanks for the response HasRob

Don't know about 'hitcounter' being 'broken'. That should not have anything to do with revenue. All my other sites are being monitored through channels, so I know exactly where revenue is coming from. There is NO surplus that may be attributed to the names at 1plus.net

channels, i need to study up on them for sure. good luck whatever you decide.

Your Adsense stats are not showing any visitors? That sounds like a configuration problem somewhere. When you park your domain with 1Plus, you can visit it and see whether or not your Adsense code is being displayed properly. Visit your domain and view the source code. Make sure you have a custom channel setup also so it is trackable.

If there is a misconfiguration somewhere, under the "My Default Options" section of 1Plus control panel you can specify your Adsense code blocks. Copy and paste them exactly how Google gives them to you.

Or there really aren't any visitors for some reason...which would raise other questions if true.

Hmmm....I thought it used URL channels...will it use both?

I've always used URL channels with my 1Plus domains...I hadn't noticed any problems...

difficult to quantify this one.

You seem to have your adsense set up correctly from what i see and if you are tracking correctly yet you were not getting any traffic on your domains, im not sure what we have done wrong?

You say you were live for 7 days which obviously negates any chance our optimisation of your domains could have been picked up and indexed by the SE's which would have then subsequently listed multiple pages for you, so thats another feature of ours out of the windown.

Sorry you had a negative experience, hope you have better success elsewhere.

Our email support is now back up btw.

You really have to give it more than 7 days. Its just like anything you have to give it time to do its job. The other day this girl was sick and I said you should take some airborne, she said: "I did, but it didnt work for me." I asked about it and she said: "oh, I just took one before my trip" I said "Its not a miracle cure, You have to take it every day or it wont work. DUH" You have to take antibiotics every day, not just one day. 1plus.net is not a miracle. It is impossible to quantify how successful a program is after just 7 days. I have had my names at 1plus .net for months. At first they were performing poorly. But I really needed more time to get into the search engines. Once theat occured I get tons of traffic from Google and yahoo. I use google analytics and it shows where your traffic comes from. I admit my CTR has gone down, but the overall amount of traffic has made up for it not to mention the revenue share. It is a program that takes time. I have several names that are .Net that come up #6 out of millions. I have not added any special channels on it or anythinig.

How True!

How true, domainacrobat. Good things take time, nurturing and patience. Traffic and revenue performance also depend a great deal on the nature of the specific domains.

I had virtually NO success with Sedo or iMonetize using newly regged domains with no prior or type-in traffic.

I found that these same domains gradually built traffic when I moved them to 1Plus.net. Since 1Plus has no FAQ, help or tutorials, I did much experimenting and learned that some very specific settings in 1Plus produce results.

I wrote a very detailed step-by-step guide, "A Step-by-Step Guide to Optimising Your Use of 1Plus.net" in the thread: "Totally Free And Unique Way To Park Domains" at: http://www.namepros.com/1636053-post829.html for all the steps and settings necessary to maximize results at 1Plus. I have recently updated it with corrections and new information. If anyone is interested, let me know, and I will make the revised version available.

The facts that you have a great deal of flexibility in customizing mini-sites at 1Plus, you can directly track your traffic with your own Google Analytics code, and you can track your views/clicks/revenue with your own Google AdSense account, plus the fact that it is a mini-site with dynamic content, not just a parked landing page with links, makes 1Plus a VERY attractive alternative to traditional parking.

Let's say a domain at xxxx.com parking system averages 100 unique type-ins per day but only 10 clicks. To see if it can make more money, it is moved to 1plus.net. The DNS is changed and resolved within two days. However, at the end of seven days, the domain is apparently not collecting any visits or clicks...or at the least, Adsense is not showing any hits. This is not a matter of not giving things enough time. There is a definite problem somewhere.

A type-in is a type-in on any parking system. Assuming all is configured correctly on the customer's end...and assuming 1plus.net is working correctly, as soon as the DNS is resolved, the 100 per day type-in hits should resume being recorded, clicks credited and money made. If no visits or clicks are showing up, it doesn't mean that the type-ins aren't happening; it just means they aren't being recognized/recorded by by the parking system they are in (for whatever reason--customer or internally), or maybe that adsense (channels) is somehow flaking out for whatever reason.

For the customer, it's not a big deal; it's simply a matter of putting the domain back at xxxx.com and watching the hits come in again (if they don't show up, then it's a whole different ballgame). If they do start collecting hits again as soon as the DNS is resoved, then 1plus.net should look hard to make sure the problem was not 1plus.

Why not work with the customer (if they are willing), and do a couple of simple tests backed up by screenshots. Chances are it will turn out to be something simple that can be included in the FAQs, but a major issue might also be discovered...so it can be fixed.

Absolutely. i did go to check but it seems this customer had deleted his domains from our system also so all i had left to check on was the adsense code - which on face value looked fine.

Certainly everything bar displaying stats works ok our end, we are pretty much bug free currently and of course, we will work closely with any user experiencing problems.

Thanks for your unending support guys, our new platform is in the making, with some large scale additions coming. We have also discussed the subject of having a senior user platform on the site for people like the two im quoting above who, for their help, will have access to more features, a 1plus email account, free domain privacy and even 100% revenue share on their news and blog skins - but this is something were still working on.

Thank you Badger.

I appreciate the feedback and concern on your part. However, in my opinion, 7 days should surely be enough time to at least see SOME action, being that there were several domains involved. Perhaps it WAS something on my end.

At any rate, without actual stats on your site, it is difficult to assess what's going on. It was because of that, plus the fact that I received no response to my requests for help, that I decided to give up on 1Plus.net.

How do you know you have 100 unique type-ins per day? Do you use analytics at "xxxx.com parking" or something similar to track type-ins?

Regards,

1plus.net's customer service is Aplus ?????

Maybe i was wrong about these guys, the moment i gave them a good comment my sites went back down and now they don't answer emails!I think i have been pretty fair to businesses online and give them their due when service is great, but lately i have just been running into people who just don't care about the customer anymore,it's like one big game!!
AWWGGGG!!!! I'm just tired!! forgive me for that outburst, i had to get a few things off of my chest,It wasn't directed at anyone personally,so i'll just give this a little time and see what develops.

Just a quick point.. I placed a couple of domains at 1plus yesterday. Their stats show 0 today but google analytics show hits on each. I would be tempted to rely on google analytics.

Yes...this was just an example, but most parking systems offer detailed analyses of traffic (I think 1plus will in the future). So if you've had a domain parked for a month at trafficclub, it's easy to see the average number of daily type-ins, uniques, clicks, etc.
