I own www.19.org and I am interested in buying www.19.com.

How much do you think it is worth and how should I engage in negotiation? Any ideas?

Peace,
Edip

To establish some sort of basis for comparison and appraisal, I'm looking around for other 2-number .com domains that sold within the last year. So far, this is the only example I can find.

- 38.com sold for $20,000 (Afternic)

That's less than I expected, and much less than appraisals so far, but I'm looking for more examples.

-------------------------

EDIT / UPDATE - More food for thought and possible comparison. I can't find any other 2-number .com's sold within the last year, but here are the 2-letter .com's that sold within that time.

- ME.com $460,000 - Moniker / Domain Systems

- MR.com $125,000 - GreatDomains

- NQ.com $27,000 - Afternic

- LH.com $27,000 - GreatDomains

- OW.com $22,250 - Pvt Sale

- GZ.com $16,000 - TopNames

Keep in mind: The quality of letters/numbers makes a difference, and not all sales are reported.

19.com > 20 - 50K enduser will be a nice deal.

Enduser $300K org => 100K
Reseller $100K org=> 50K

Since you own the combination of both domains.

The package deal would go for quite a bit - likely in the low $xxx,xxx range.

19.com would be a pretty meaningful domain for the adult website industry. Two letter/two digit domains are rare, and this is among the better ones. Valuations are largely meaningless in this case but you're probably looking at minimum $50k. Just write to the owner and see if he has an asking price and take it from there.

Very expensive if you ask me. I would say without much knowledge on these types of domains, anywhere between low $xx, xxx to high $xxx,xxx

I thought they went for a little more than what -db- said! , quite shocked at that!

So more in the XX(X),XXX region..

19.com , i would think about high $xx,xxx . I can't see any more without a site or traffic.
Very brandable name i think.

I am surprised

I did not expect that the perceived value of 19.com would be that high. I was thinking in low x,xxx. I will try to contact the owner of that domain, though. It is surprising that Alexa shows less traffic for www.19.com than for www.19.org.

As for 19.org, I never thought that anyone besides me would be interested in that name. Why in the world you think that 19.org would be a good name worthy of xxx or even more?

I am not a domain speculator, and I never sold a domain. Once, I transferred my ownership of a four-letter acronym to an animal protection organization for free. I am a philosophy professor and author, and I am just curious about the perceived market value of certain commodities, especially the domain names. I found that some of the appraisals on this forum did indeed make sense and are based on intelligent insight. In an apparantly very subjective universe, I have learned that there is already some galaxies of reasonable convention that provide objective rules of appraisals. I marvell that.

Again, I would appreciate your imput regarding the value of 19.org. Not because I wish to sell it, just because I am curious about its potential use, besides its vaule as the 19th Article of the Decleration of Human Rights and the highly controversial common mathematical code of the Bible and the Quran.

I thank every individual for their response. This is one of the most civilized and friendly forums.

Peace,
Edip

I'm not too surpised by the difference in Alexa ranking between 19.org and 19.com. A developed site with visitors will almost always rank better than an undeveloped domain.

If you were to sell 19.org it should not be difficult for you to get over $1000 for it. Two character .org's are a rare commodity, and two digits even more so.
