I personally think the value is in the fact it is a very famous artists name who gets searched for ALOT on internet (147,000 + times) and had over 2 Mill. Google results and the extention fits the domain perfectly as it is a famous name.

I don't think you took all facts in account to appraise this domain as i am pretty sure it is worth way more then $30 but thx for the appraisal anyway.

Sorry to break this to you but the .info extension doesn't necessarily suit every single domain.
In this case, Amerie appears to be a name of a music artist and the .info surely doesn't fit that.

I think we have a different vision on the .INFO extention.
Information on Amerie could be tour dates, ticket prices, lyrics, new releases, mp3 and cd prices, etc....

Anyway, don't want to get into a discussion about the .INFO extention here
