LOL!!! Ok, just kidding - sorry, that was cheeky!

Am just wondering if you people could have a little look at my domain name. Am wondering if you think it is worth keeping or if I could have a try at selling it.

For now am parking with Sedo.

ummm,, it's a typo - but am not sure how to choose good ones - is this anygood?

xgox360.com

thanks heaps :)

Ok, I see they are for sale, but do many sell?

I think my best option would be to park it for a while and see if I get any good stats.

Thanks for your opinion :)

Are there any other opinions?

I'd park it and see how much traffic you get.

Truth be told, this domain name is only worth its weight in traffic. If your getting some, great - If not..... less than reg fee. Crossing my fingers for you anyway, Good luck!

BTW - You can send me my $10,000 via NameBucks!

It's intersting... I own Xbo360.com and it gets very good traffic. It's parked at sedo as well and you can see it's banging at the doors of 1000 hits monthly. It's down a bit with the release of the new PS3 but even down to 800 hits a month, it still earns money every day. I bought it at Snap Names a few months ago and even though I had to bid against competition for the domain, I've made back every penny on the upper $xx dollar purchase and then some.

So Xbox typos aren't a BAD investment... if the traffic is there.

I've been very happy with my typo and I wouldn't dream of parting with it for anything less than $1000 bucks at this point.

Best of luck to ya!

Can't you get in trouble from Microsoft though? I would just worry that if I regged a typo, and used the contact info as like my buisness info. They'd be like, "what a business regged this? lets go after them" and lawsuits would fly my way.

I guess I've always just been scared of typos.

TM typos... yeah.

Generic typos, no.

Xbox360 is not a generic typo and you do run the risk of catching the attention of someone who may care about it's use. They way I see it, if you are making an effort to direct all the traffic to the company your typo is for, that's free advertising and traffic for them... shouldn't be an isse.

SHOULDN'T

Doesn't mean it wont be.

It's a balance of doing them some good, but not enough to be desirable, I think. ;)

Thanks guys :)

I think I'll hang onto it and see if it generates any traffic - u never know!

I parked it with Sedo, but it is still not through - was nearly 24 hours ago. I have parked many domains this way, but for some reason it is not going through properly. How long do you think I should wait before approaching them? Most times it's sorted within a couple of hours...

Is it true that if I park it for a year, I can probably sell it the next year for roughly what I earned in parking it? Does that change if it's something like the xbox360, which will not be as popular next year?

btw - was kidding on the $10,000 in case u missed the joke :P

The thing about using revenues to value a domain is that PPC is always in flux. This week, a domain's value could be high with a slew of $3 clicks then NEXT week, the clicks might be worth only .30 cents each.

Depending then, on the week you sold it...LOL!!!

It's speculative whether or not the Pay Per Click marketing will be as robust as it is NOW in a year from now. Who knows?

So you MAY get a years rev, you may not, it might be more, it might be less.

It's called "domain speculation"... place your bets! ;)
