They took my domain back. They requested for my credit card scan, but i did not give them any, I used Paypal in purchasing the domain.

The domain does not have traffic that i desired, so it's okay.

Netfirms refunded me of 1$ in Paypal.

Guys, I'm trying to reg my second domain, but it keeps saying
Exceeded maximum number of couponcode redemptions with this creditcard number. - But I haven't used my CC for the first domain, I've paid with PayPal, and I wanted to do the same now.

Does anyone else get this error?

EDIT: It's OK now!

I think the problem here is that they require paypal purchases to be from a validated paypal account with a credit card on file. If your paypal account doesn't have a credit card connected to it, you can't make a netfirms purchase via paypal from what I understand.

I haven't had this problem myself, Poet. I have had to email their customer service twice though for help with other things and they were very fast in responding. maybe try that route if you haven't already.

Needs to be a VERIFIED account.

You probably ignored the request for your CC information.

More and move VERIFIED paypal is the norm.

I paypal Verified.

But i not happy with the Netfirms, because netfirms direct delete my domain at account. There not give any reason and refund money to me.

Any company like this way???

What does the whois say for that domain? Could it have been a name sold in error that was already registered?

If they haven't given you a reason why you should email their customer service and ask what's up.

I have the same problem here. I ordered 20 domain names at $1 via Paypal. I got the same refund. Please don't tell me they need to verify when I paid via Paypal.

What is wrong with netfirms?

Netfirms cancel my domain & refund back $1 ?

Wasn't calling YOU a slickdealer.

I was referring to that other forum (which might be against the rules of namepros) where slick deals are discussed on the net. Oftentimes a good deal is ruined by people going crazy.

I actually went and looked over there.. this deal got a thumbs down so likely ok. Usually someone would post.. "I just regged 1000 domains and then I emailed them to ask them when they would be OK".

Apologies for the confusion.
Yeah I posted that on the slick deal website and low and behold the thread got thumbed down and full of nonsense. It's amazing how some of those people think they know everything about domains, yet they think that registering one gives you lifetime ownership lol.

Note to world, if you dont know what you are talking about... dont talk!

BTW defaultuser, glad to meet another slick dealer on namepros too!

Hi.

No idea why the thumbs down. I'm just always amazed by the stupidity of people over there.

For example things like:

I just sent this email
"You have a Rolex listed for $2 and I ordered 100. Why didn't my Free shipping coupon work?"

But the Blade got a REP for this post. You should have posted here at NP!

Ya, If i knew about these issues earlier, I will not post this. However i think its because people missuse the offer by reging 20, 30 domains. 1 just 1 domain from 1 account using 1 credit card and that domain still active. Didint ask any verification. But from another account i reged 2 domains using 1 credit card and they need verification documents.

But anyway they should fix these type of bugs when they offer such offers. In godaddy when you get a $0.99 coupon code, you can only register 1 domain per 1 credit card. When you try to register more price will reset back to normal price even you apply the code.

I cant seem to figure how how to push the domain to another NetFirms account. Do they have that option somewhere?

If not, am I going to have to wait 60 days to transfer the domain to another registrar before I can sell it?

1. For the account currently holding the domain you wish to transfer, login to the Netfirms Control Panel (https://controlpanel.netfirms.com)
2. Click Domains
3. Choose Domain Manager
4. For the domain you wish to export, click the corresponding plus sign to the left of the Domain Name
5. Click the Domain Export tab
6. From the Choose Hosting Plan pull-down menu, choose a hosting plan to export the domain to
7. Click Continue
8. Follow the onscreen prompts to Review the Order Summary and enter the Billing and Credit Card Information
9. Enter the Password you wish to use to login to the Control Panel/primary FTP account
10. Click Order

You would then provide the new account with the new account information. They can then choose to manage the domain name from the new account or Import it into one of their other Netfirms account.

What is all this? I'd recommend that you register only non-important names... domain names that are actually worth the low price you pay at Netfirms!
