I took 5 names from Netfirms, Status changed to 'OK' within 5 minutes and I've started building on them. No problems.

Did you bought them in one batch or one by one.
I took one, paid for it and then ordered the second, also paid $1 for it but it still "In progress" for about 6 hours already... >:(

60 days is not really a godaddy rule. Afaik you cannot switch registrars for 60 days.
This deal is awesome for people who want to test traffic or develop and see if it pans out. It's not that great for flippers because you have to pay to transfer (or figure into sales cost) - no one will pay transfer for expiring hand reg.

30? Who can think of that many new
domains? They're all 3d something aren't they :)

Eventually you pay full price UNLESS traffic pays cost or you host here.

My opinion - and I'm not directing this at you - I think we will see lots of noob speculation. If I buy xx domains I only need to sell one to break even and that sale will happen thru magic of the Internet.

Lol Default, beleive it or not, not one 3D Domain haha bet that shocked you lol
I've picked a few selections on one pretty much un exploited area involving a new source but keeping it close to my chest lol
I don't mind paying FP for these but hope to have some shifted within 3-6 months.
I'm not looking for any magic sale, start small and steady is cool for me as I'm happy developing away at the moment. :)
Repped for giving me a chuckle :)

Sounds like you took advantage of a heck of a deal then
Here's hoping nf doesn't take them all back.

Seen it too many times with slickdealers getting greedy.

I wouldn't call myself a slick dealer or greedy, I'd have bought them from GoDaddy at full price just as I have been doing!>:(

Wasn't calling YOU a slickdealer.

I was referring to that other forum (which might be against the rules of namepros) where slick deals are discussed on the net. Oftentimes a good deal is ruined by people going crazy.

I actually went and looked over there.. this deal got a thumbs down so likely ok. Usually someone would post.. "I just regged 1000 domains and then I emailed them to ask them when they would be OK".

Apologies for the confusion.

No more dollar domain.

Looks like the code still works, but the domain will cost $3.99

there's a guy at WF who's selling 3 domain names for $3. what's the problem?

he is taking the $3 into his paypal and giving out the reg link then you go and reg your own 3 name for $1 each.

what is this world coming to?. lol

Yes, the promo price has changed to $3.99. They even changed it here: facebook.com/netfirmsfans?v=app_7146470109 Netfirms $3.99 Domains | Facebook

Still not bad but $1 was better hehe

My Apologies Default for grabbing the wrong end of the slick stick :) I haven't been over "there" yet but all my registrations went through which is good. No doubt they will be smiling when it comes round to renewal time lol but I probably won't be so happy :)

I thought it expired 31 May 2010! From what others have said about Facebook posts stating one per customer I wonder if something went wrong with the checkout process that would only allow one domain per customer or worse that someone forgot to implement it!

3.99 - Still not bad, and they have very decent and fast user control panel.
