if one person registers 20 THOUSAND+ domain names, in one TLD, and then sells them, one by one,
he/she ain't a genius.
This is sheer monopolism.
THAT is the problem, many have, with that particular person.
And not that she sells this or that name, for this or that price.

io is a very niche special tld;
TECH & info-tool websites use it best.
notes for myself:
stable: com, org >> broad, e-commerce usage, intl.
special usage: net / co >> services, niche-news
tech related: io >> usecase based
interesting: me >> personal websites / avatars / personalized social networks etc.
hyped: xyz, pro (& more *specialized* tlds) >> new tech
futuristic, most likely important to save: .eth (handshake)
.com or .org are way better than
a) hyphened .com
b) .net
in both cases, the user could try the non-hyphened / or the com.
And goodbye...
good old days...
Domaining is to sell less qu. domains to the masses,
while keeping high qu. domains up in price.
inbetween, that is real domain business.
