Should I renew a domain with irrelevant backlinks?

I have sites to create backlinks as well as site dedicated to reading them so i suggest you check out their value with how your domain is ranked and if still no strength and a crappy domain then don't renew. I have also in same breath have dropped names with loads of backlinks when the domain has no merit after i redirected all the juice out of them.
