I'm looking for lots of advancements in batteries and energy. That could be charging systems for your phone in 30 seconds, or batteries that last for months. Also car charging systems as companies like Tesla continue to evolve their cars for more range. Batteries involve lots of chemical names and interestingly two of the most promising are Aluminum and Vanadium, and many combinations of those words with Battery or Batteries, are already gone. Maybe also ways to manage the ever increasing power needs of multiple devices. I also expect to see more conductive charging systems...systems that charge without a wire connection like the electric toothbrush.

I'd be surprised if this trend takes off.
