NamesCon: Miami Is Calling Me
Two years ago at NamesCon, I met one of the most successful domain investors from Europe/Asia—someone who hand-registered CognitiveAutomation.com and later sold it for $300,000. He’s also one of the contributors to my book, Accidental Domain Investor (elie.ng). After several conversations about domains, technology, and life, he looked at me and said, “Elie, I thought you were of average height.” I smiled and replied, “I’m 6'2".”
At NamesCon 2024, I had the privilege of meeting the man who invented the domain name system—Dr. Paul Mockapetris. Just a few minutes later, I also met Matt Mullenweg, the cofounder of WordPress. NamesCon has a way of bringing together legends.
