Hey, domain sellers! 👋

We have a special surprise for you.

Continuing from last year (and last week), we have some exciting updates to share with you about NamePros Parking!

First, consider this:

You price your domain name at $2,500. For years, hundreds of interested buyers want to buy it, but the price is too high for them. They don't even try to contact you because they don't realize that the price is negotiable or may change. Years later, you decide to lower the price to $995. How many previously-interested buyers would buy it at this lowered price? You’d never know — until now!

With our new Buy Now options, you can finally contact those previous buyers to increase your sales opportunities. 💸

Here’s how:

Our landers require buyers to confirm their email address before they can see the price. Once confirmed, the price is available to them and their email address is available to you. Simple and effective.

Now, let’s talk new features!

  • Buy Now: Add a Buy button with a sales price and payment options for buyers to purchase your domains.
    • Escrow.com (Recommended): Starts an Escrow.com transaction for you and allows the buyer to pay immediately.
    • PayPal: Creates a PayPal transaction for the buyer to pay directly to your PayPal account.
    • Email: You and the buyer use email to choose a payment method (e.g., crypto), discuss lease-to-own (LTO) options, etc.
  • Location: Country, region (e.g., state or province), and locality (e.g., city, town, or village) of your inquirers to help you understand where they are located, the best time to contact them, etc.
  • Bulk Management: Set options on multiple domains at the same time: prices, payment methods, appearance, etc.
  • Exports: Download your inquiries, including buyers’ email addresses, offers, etc. (CSV format.)
  • Domain Verification: Verify your domains by using any of these methods: name servers (NS), CNAME, or TXT records.
  • Supersonic Speed Boost: Our landers already loaded blazingly fast, but now they’re even faster — a powerful increase in performance!
    • For techies: Go, Redis, and Elastic (previously only: PHP and MySQL)

Wait, there’s more!

Tell us the features that you want for NamePros Parking because we’re adding new features all month!

Features coming soon:

  • Payment Plans: Payment buttons for lease-to-own (LTO) and renting, e.g., “$995/mo for 8 months”
  • ✅ Minimum Offers: Save time by specifying a minimum offer amount to set buyers’ expectations.
  • Portfolio Website: A sharable storefront of the domains in your account with search and filters.
  • Traffic: The number of visitors to parked domains, optionally displayed on your landing pages.
  • ✅ Remove NamePros Branding: An option to remove unnecessary mentions of NamePros from parked pages.
  • ✅ More Landers: Choose from multiple landing pages for various purposes, such as a new Buy Now Optimized lander.
  • File Imports: Add domains to your account and set their prices by uploading spreadsheet files (e.g., .CSV).

PRO TIP: There is a common misconception about how many domain sales happen because of marketplaces. In reality, many sales would still happen (and do happen) without the help of a marketplace, so NamePros is providing a free solution to sell domains and you keep 100% of your profit.

Our for-sale parking service is 100% free:

  • No upfront fees
  • No monthly fees
  • No commission (0%)
  • No upgraded account necessary
  • 100% of your sales belong to you!

How does all that sound?

Visit namepros.com/parking to get started! 🎉

Tip: Quickly access your parking dashboard using the "Sell" dropdown menu at the top.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
My biggest dream is to generate enough revenue stream to cover my domain renewals for my entire portfolio. Parking revenue is too low to expect to achieve it and carries risk to high value names. The only answer I feel would work is to offer the prime choice domain that a buyer is seeking with a package deal at an affordable monthly price. Like a business in a box for either a new business or an existing business seeking to rebrand.

I am referring to a great domain with a website and hosting as a base package, with additional optional add-ons available such as logo, email, SEO, etc.

Add:

1) Above the name reads 'Available for sale'. Could it be 'Available for purchase' or 'This domain is for sale'? Sorry, it's been a long day and the grammar part of my brain is not functioning as it should...can't figure out which sounds best. :xf.smile:

2) Not sure if it is active yet but I'm having trouble locating how to set min, etc.
1) That’s a great way to further differentiate between the two landers. Thanks!

2) Coming soon.

Can ya delete inquiries after testing purposes or should an inquiry not pan out as legit? Not seeing a way to delete them unless I'm missing it?
We don’t currently have a way to do that, but you can use the demo for testing purposes: nuggies.ninja

If a buyer is not willing to confirm their email address to see the price, then they're not very interested and wouldn't buy regardless.

I don't agree with this.

When I go shopping online I go to a website (so yes, I am serious about buying), place item/s in the cart, and then check shipping costs. If I have to register and/or put my address in FIRST just to getting shipping quote then I just close the tab = NO SALE. Giving my postal/zip code only is fine IF I COULD BE BOTHERED but not the whole lot - email, phone, address, etc.

Every extra step in the path of a sale is just another obstacle for buyers to get through. Why make it harder?

That’s a fair point for commodities.

Our opinion is that each domain is unique and buyers cannot go elsewhere to buy it. If they genuinely want it, a small obstacle like filling out a form should not deter them. There are also lots of temporary email services if they are truly concerned about it.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We appreciate hearing all perspectives.

Very happy with the page now! I need an option to remove the non-mandatory "Company Name" and "Phone Number" fields from the landing page though.. cleaner the better!

Agree, just remove those optional fields. No one wants inbound calls - no one. And not sure how company name helps. A large org won't include it and a small orgs name makes no diff

I have some suggestions:

- Ability to add a description will be also a good thing, to show stats, number of other extensions taken, and the power of the domain name.

- Add a quick SIGN IN via Google, Facebook, and other social networks to show the price quickly by simply clicking (it's easier than writing and we will get more emails on the list). And also no need to check for a confirmation link on email and click on it ect... Buyer will avoid many steps.

- When disable branding, NamePros logo should stay, only "Free domain parking provided by NamePros" should disappear.

Just my 2cents.

To be honest, I would not try anything new.
Beside, why take a chance on your investment? No commission means nothing if you have No Sale.
There are too many things you have to deal with yourself.
You can't beat the features from other marketplaces: Connect direct with salereps (Afternic/Godaddy), Escrow Services, SEO from these site, etc...
There is nothing free, If you use this one you agree to advertise for Namepros - It's the same concept for free Hosting - with advertising.

Is there a way to remove our Namepros username? I'd rather not display that on every landing page.

You do it under "parking profile" tab.

Our data indicates otherwise.

Serious buyers, especially those at companies, are accustomed to filling out that information in professional dealings (e.g., commercial transactions), and it is very useful information to qualify buyers or to reach them if their inbox is inundated with emails (e.g., your emails got buried, filed under the "Promotions" tab, or went to spam).

A quick text message to a buyer to ask for an update can be the difference between a buyer going cold vs. keeping them engaged until the deal is sealed.

These optional fields can provide a lot of value in the right hands.

zshare doesn't resolve?
This is because the seller has DNSSEC enabled on this domain name, possibly by accident or by forgetting to remove it.

DNSSEC causes the domain to not resolve because we did not provide the public key that they're using. It probably came from a former DNS provider.

This kind of misconfiguration of DNSSEC causes the domain name to not load for many visitors. We bring this issue to your attention by refusing to verify the domain name until you fix it by removing DNSSEC. This way, you don’t miss out on potential buyers who can’t access the domain name.

@TheBuyerz, please be sure to disable DNSSEC on the domains that you're parking. If it's enabled, those domains cannot resolve (i.e., they cannot show a website).

Here's more technical information:

We hope that helps.

Excellent suggestions!

We appreciate you sharing them.

Please also see our previous post for you: disable DNSSEC.

Thanks.

Businesses that do not evolve always perish.

Stay vigilant, and always adapt.

If you use this one you agree to advertise for Namepros
Yesterday, we added an option to remove NamePros branding from parked pages. Several members are already using it.

You can't beat the features from other marketplaces: Connect direct with salereps (Afternic/Godaddy), Escrow Services, SEO from these site, etc...
That's not true. These features are not complex or technically difficult.
  1. Sales Reps: Using a qualified domain broker is just as good, if not better. Brokers can use our parking service on your behalf, which is already happening successfully for some sellers.
  2. Escrow Services: Our integration of Escrow.com means that parking with us is as good or better than the escrow services provided by other marketplaces, and the others take up to 25%.
  3. SEO: Last we checked, we received something like 70% of our traffic from search engines. Our SEO is very strong.

Thanks for sharing your concerns with us.

Why free? Now before everyone loses their mind, I am not saying that's not great that it's being offered for free. But this could get very popular with a lot of domainers using it, so a lot of work for Namepros with no benefit to them if people disable the Namepros branding. I have seen great offerings go from free to the provider being over worked and then having to charge or shut it down.

Looks good. All they need is a make offer option and I just might give this a try.
We have a standard make offer option; it's the default.

Without a price set on the domain name, it shows a make offer form instead.

Are you requesting a make offer option shown alongside the buy now option on the same parked page?

Let us know.

Are you overriding the font family or font size? Here's how it looks for me in Firefox on my M1 MacBook Pro:

Edit: We're going to push an update that will attempt to override the browser's preferences so that it will display correctly in browsers that have been customized.
