news NamePros Parking adds Buy Now (and much more)

Hey, domain sellers! 👋

We have a special surprise for you.

Continuing from last year (and last week), we have some exciting updates to share with you about NamePros Parking!

First, consider this:

You price your domain name at $2,500. For years, hundreds of interested buyers want to buy it, but the price is too high for them. They don't even try to contact you because they don't realize that the price is negotiable or may change. Years later, you decide to lower the price to $995. How many previously-interested buyers would buy it at this lowered price? You’d never know — until now!

With our new Buy Now options, you can finally contact those previous buyers to increase your sales opportunities. 💸

Here’s how:

Our landers require buyers to confirm their email address before they can see the price. Once confirmed, the price is available to them and their email address is available to you. Simple and effective.

Now, let’s talk new features!

  • Buy Now: Add a Buy button with a sales price and payment options for buyers to purchase your domains.
    • Escrow.com (Recommended): Starts an Escrow.com transaction for you and allows the buyer to pay immediately.
    • PayPal: Creates a PayPal transaction for the buyer to pay directly to your PayPal account.
    • Email: You and the buyer use email to choose a payment method (e.g., crypto), discuss lease-to-own (LTO) options, etc.
  • Location: Country, region (e.g., state or province), and locality (e.g., city, town, or village) of your inquirers to help you understand where they are located, the best time to contact them, etc.
  • Bulk Management: Set options on multiple domains at the same time: prices, payment methods, appearance, etc.
  • Exports: Download your inquiries, including buyers’ email addresses, offers, etc. (CSV format.)
  • Domain Verification: Verify your domains by using any of these methods: name servers (NS), CNAME, or TXT records.
  • Supersonic Speed Boost: Our landers already loaded blazingly fast, but now they’re even faster — a powerful increase in performance!
    • For techies: Go, Redis, and Elastic (previously only: PHP and MySQL)

Wait, there’s more!

Tell us the features that you want for NamePros Parking because we’re adding new features all month!

Features coming soon:

  • Payment Plans: Payment buttons for lease-to-own (LTO) and renting, e.g., “$995/mo for 8 months”
  • ✅ Minimum Offers: Save time by specifying a minimum offer amount to set buyers’ expectations.
  • Portfolio Website: A sharable storefront of the domains in your account with search and filters.
  • Traffic: The number of visitors to parked domains, optionally displayed on your landing pages.
  • ✅ Remove NamePros Branding: An option to remove unnecessary mentions of NamePros from parked pages.
  • ✅ More Landers: Choose from multiple landing pages for various purposes, such as a new Buy Now Optimized lander.
  • File Imports: Add domains to your account and set their prices by uploading spreadsheet files (e.g., .CSV).

PRO TIP: There is a common misconception about how many domain sales happen because of marketplaces. In reality, many sales would still happen (and do happen) without the help of a marketplace, so NamePros is providing a free solution to sell domains and you keep 100% of your profit.

Our for-sale parking service is 100% free:

  • No upfront fees
  • No monthly fees
  • No commission (0%)
  • No upgraded account necessary
  • 100% of your sales belong to you!

How does all that sound?

Visit namepros.com/parking to get started! 🎉

Tip: Quickly access your parking dashboard using the "Sell" dropdown menu at the top.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
The problem I see with the landing page is namepros advertising at the bottom of the page.
There will be an option soon to remove that. (Update: NamePros branding can now be removed!)

So when a potential buyer want to buy a $x,xxx name and they click on namepros, they will see all the appraisal is $0 and everything else is around $10 they will charge their mind and looking for something else cheaper.
Over the past year, we've asked sellers parking with us about this, and they told us that it actually helps them whenever it happens because:
  1. Most domains (not all) listed in the appraisal section and the marketplace are by new domain investors who haven't quite figured out how to purchase the right domains yet. Therefore, many of those domains help your buyers to realize that the domains they want from you are much better.
    • It's equivalent to having a new, shiny supercar next to an old, beat-up pickup truck.
  2. Many buyers want a specific domain name, so the price of other domains doesn't matter.
  3. Appraisals can be a consideration, but they don't determine the price. The sale price is determined by an agreed-upon amount by boththe seller and buyer.
    • Domain sellers have been successfully overcoming this buyer objection since 2007 when Estibot was introduced. GoDaddy's GoValue appraisals are also part of this objection today.

Our landers are very effective at getting the conversation started with buyers because the price isn't shown until they've confirmed their email address, so the price could be $1 for all they know. That allows you to know they're interested. From there, you're able to educate the buyer, overcome their objections, and close the deal. (y)

Also it lacks a lot of features from other market places like searching for an alternative name…
Could you provide us with an example of what you have in mind?

Even though you do not offer installment plans, which is obvious,
it would be great if we could show the pot. buyer, that we do (with the right broker).

So, duration & monthly cost would be something we would have to set up manually...
(or, at least just the info, that installm. plans are available).
Agreed. This feature is coming soon.

Namepros branding is heavy.
There will be an option to remove it soon.

Fishing for an email to show price, good luck
This is very effective and common among top domain brokers (as “Price Upon Request”). Ours is even better because it’s an immediate price quote without waiting for a broker to reply with the price. It's also a common concept in real estate, so it's not an unfamiliar process.

If a buyer is not willing to confirm their email address to see the price, then they're not very interested and wouldn't buy regardless.

As a bonus, this process prevents robots and archival sites from knowing your price, which buyers could try to use against you in the future if you raised the price. One less objection standing in the way of a sale.

Give it a try. :)

Update: Andrew of DomainNameWire wrote a great article explaining the pros and cons of it.

could we have a non-branded version?
It's being worked on as we speak. 😎

From the announcement:
  • Remove NamePros Branding: An option to remove unnecessary mentions of NamePros from parked pages.

I'm always worried a potential buyer will find another name when a lander has the option to search or go somewhere else.
Understandable.

This may set your mind at ease a bit:

We hope that helps.

i sent message off to Brad, when i did I got a pop up that totally froze my phone. No way out except enter new url
It doesn't freeze your phone; it just doesn't let you proceed anywhere on that browser tab until you check your email and confirm it. There's no way to click out of the dialog or accidentally submit the form multiple times: the only path forward is to check your email.

You could always navigate away or close the tab if you change your mind and don't want to submit an inquiry.

And the button wouldnt work so no send
Our logs are indicating that you didn't submit the form on spatialtrance.com.

Please send us a screenshot.

As you mentioned, you did successfully submit the form on another domain name:

i sent message off to Brad, when i did I got a pop up that totally froze my phone. No way out except enter new url

Confirm email popup froze my phone
I’ll be checking my email. At what point does the price if there is one will show on lander?
Your phone isn't frozen. The popup just can't be closed. You can close the tab or refresh the page to fill out the form again.

This conversion optimization of not allowing that popup to be closed significantly increased our email confirmation rate. It's very effective. Prior, a lot of buyers would close that page without realizing that they had to confirm their email address.

I’ll be checking my email. At what point does the price if there is one will show on lander?
As soon as you confirm your email.

I would be very interested in listing all my names once you Remove NamePros Branding.
We'll let you know once that's ready. :)

The last thing I want is to educate my buyers to be domainers and expect wholesale prices!

I wouldn't worry about it too much because:

But you'll have peace of mind regardless once that feature is ready. :)

ADD: name and phone too of course
The buyer's name and phone is part of the form.

Is there a name and phone associated with an IP address that you'd like?

Looking at the demo page - it is unclear to me (as a buyer) that when I enter my info I will see the BIN price. It just says "start conversation" which is not the same thing to me. I think it should be clear and obvious I'm entering this info to see BIN
That will be an option soon with a new lander: Buy Now Optimized. 👍

Thanks y'all are doing awesome work! Waiting for the Buy Now Optimized landing page. I hope we won't have to wait long for that!

No, just the one the potential buyer furnishes.

I'm sure it is covered somewhere but wanted to ask if there will be a space provided for a sales pitch? If so, any idea how many characters might be available?

It would be so great if the Namepros lander can solve all the issues we as sellers have...I've spent so many hours moving names in the last 6 months...actually finishing my third move now but the lander has some info I feel is too negative for a potential buyer to see.

Note: That domain name is not parked with us; it's just a mockup.

Our logs show that your browser never attempted to submit the form. A screenshot might explain why: for example, if you have a typo in your email address or omit a required field, your browser may prevent you from submitting the form.

Without a screenshot, we can't even begin to troubleshoot, as the submission attempt never reached our servers.

We could potentially flag some of that, but we won't filter it out. All of those are still potential leads. For example, VPNs are very popular, and many high-end device manufacturers include them in their services--Google and Apple both offer them. The phone numbers and email addresses that I use for business inquiries looks like a burner numbers/emails--because they are. I'd never enter a phone number or email address I care about on an inquiry form.

Our priority is getting the leads to you as reliably as possible. You can then decide what to do with them.

Yes, over the past year, we know of several domain sales totaling six figures through a broker who uses our landers. There are probably more sales that we don't know about.

Waiting for the Buy Now Optimized landing page
The lander is now optimized for Buy Now when parked domains have a price.

Here's the demo:

You can now remove NamePros branding from parked pages under your profile settings.

Enjoy!

@Bravo Mod Team, not sure you spotted it in another post above, but will there be the availability to add a sales pitch to the landing page?

I just threw a few up to see how things operate (very smoothly with rapid verification).

Add:

1) Above the name reads 'Available for sale'. Could it be 'Available for purchase' or 'This domain is for sale'? Sorry, it's been a long day and the grammar part of my brain is not functioning as it should...can't figure out which sounds best. :xf.smile:

2) Not sure if it is active yet but I'm having trouble locating how to set min, etc.

What’s the reason to switch to this landing page instead of using Dan, afternic, sedo or other market places?

0% commission by using NamePros Parking can mean thousands of extra dollars of profit for you.

This can mean survival or not for a domain investor during a dry spell. This can be a game changer for many (myself included).

Please take a look again at my post above...I was adding an edit when you responded and don't want to clutter thread by posting it again...thanks.

Can ya delete inquiries after testing purposes or should an inquiry not pan out as legit? Not seeing a way to delete them unless I'm missing it?
