What distinguishes a good domainer from a bad one? What does one that the other doesn't?

keep buying, never selling
keep dropping, never regret
keep dreaming, never awake
I think I am a bad domainer.... WRONG!!!
btw, @Russkie I like your question, I then realized I am also a bad man...
To me, a bad domainer is some one who thinks 'SearchEngine.com' is more valuable than 'Google.com.' Where imagination has given way to boring mechanics and defeated resignation. The fact of the matter is, there is no magic formula to this game. If you don't have any marketing or conceptualization skills, stick to the dictionary-word .com's and sling geo domains to plumbers. Personally, it's not my idea of a good time.
If you have a brain...do your research and set the bar high.
Bad domainers, usually:
1. Speak mostly about themselves and about their past success ... what was 10 years ago, 20 years ago, 30 years ago, before internet era, etc. Also they boast about sales which can not be verified, or about sales which they still plan to make
Lol I know who you're mentioning here and I agree
Yes you're right Mr man sir. So jealous of a man who has had next to zero sales
I'm a good domainer, and I can't make profit. So maybe a bad domainer is one who makes profit.
A good domainer buys a domain which can sell for 1000, but to raise cash drops the price to 100, and sells one of such names this way, and all the rest need to be dropped.
A bad domainer buys lots of stupid domains, but also some ok ones, and asking price unrealistically varies from 10K to 1M, and doesn't realize that once a buyer is lost, noone else will buy the domain, and insists on the price at all costs. Then an enduser comes and want to get a good deal on one of these names, but there is no room for negotiation, and this makes the buyer more desparate. And the bad domainer raises the price a little bit more, and the enduser buys in panic. This arrogance continues as long as luck continues.
Not talking about me, referring to attacks by “lolwarrior” against those successful in .com extension. He is wasting his time with his new tld only nonsensecal posts. You think he has made a profit in domains??
