Hey Folks,

I've just started using squadhelp.com to list some of my brandable. So far I have 76 domains listed, there is no fee to list. I've had some decent action so far in the way of interested buyers but no sales as of yet. I've only been with them for 1 week now.

A bit of a summary review of SquadHelp:

PROS
  • No Listing fee
  • No Logo design fee
  • Ability to submit your names to end users holding naming contests
  • Ability to chat directly or send a message directly to end users.
  • Stats of your marketplace domains are shown in the marketplace dashboard.
  • Their customer service and support has been great, 24hr a day chat.
  • Ability to increase or decrease the list price of your domains or to show a discount. You can decrease or increase the price yourself by $200. If you want to lower more, you can contact support.
  • End users can shortlist your domains before they make a decision on which they want to purchase. The number of shortlists is shown in you marketplace dashboard.
  • When you submit your names you get to set the price you wish to get. Because their commissions are high I recommend listing at a higher price to offset the commission costs.
  • Their landing pages are fairly basic but they work. Because the marketplace is fairly new, I'm sure we will see style improvements in the future.
  • One thing I really like is they accept multiple extensions. I have listed .co and .io along with .com
  • Each seller gets a direct link to their marketplace portfolio, HERES MY PORTFOLIO. It is handy if your trying to p[promote your portfolio through social media.
  • I like that their marketplace doesn't have tens of thousands domain listings like BB. They are fairly strict on the domains they accept to list and so this helps keep the number of domains in the marketplace down and gets your listings more exposure.
CONS
  • Their commissions are very high, depending on the domain name they are usually between 30% and 35%. However, there are no listing fees, no logo design fees, so in the end their commission is very similar to brand buckets.
  • Their logos are not top quality, in fact I requested to have some of my logos remade.
  • I think they have a big backlog of logos to design, the wait time for logo design has been around 1 week, but your names are still listed while the logos are being designed.
  • After your names are accepted you need to agree to their commission rate, at this point you also need to apply your own keywords, descriptions etc. I found this was very time consuming.

They might have sold all the names. 🙈

I'm confused. I hope someone here at NamePros, or @Atom.com can help.

So I was at my White Label site settings and it said this:

"A Record Setup Being DeprecatedYour WLM site uses an A record, which stops working on September 30, 2026. Switch to Atom nameservers to keep your site live and get Cloudflare security, bot protection, and faster caching. View instructions"

I clicked on the link, and although the article said that it was updated today, it seems to be the same article from way back, and it tells you to use A records to point your NS. Nothing at all about them not working any more.

So what is happening? Do I need to change something?

The domain name that I use for my Atom WL site is at a registrar other than Atom, if that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance.

Bob
I just received an email from @Atom for my WLM because they are upgrading all white label solutions to be managed via Cloudflare.

So I need to change my WLM domain name to use these
  • ns1.atom.com
  • ns2.atom.com
But I am currently at GD with email setup at GD -- and using "A" Records to direct to my WLM

What is the correct setup to change NS to Atom, and still keep my email at GD?

No way I'm letting @Atom.com handle my MX setup for the WLM domain. Atom has too many problems to rely on it. Atom simply throws WLM users under the bus here, and it is once again a matter of reacting instead of carefully anticipating. Very disappointing.

@Atom.com the "audio preview" is just a little play symbol. Not sure buyers would understand what it does. I mean, it could play the logo or a video. Perhaps some verbiage is also needed?

"See it live" is not showing on my lander. I believe I have it enabled properly. Anyone else having issues?

@Atom.com tbh I'm very confused about these settings. I want everything to show on Standard and only limited info to show on Minimal. How would I set the above settings to get that? If I click "also on minimal" it will show whatever I show on Standard. But I want only a subset of things on Minimal. Is there a way to do that within these settings?

The updated policy still only lists Afternic and Spaceship as "Approved Marketplaces and Registrars", but we can also report a Premium domain as having sold at Dynadot, NameSilo and Others in our Atom account. It would be nice to get this clarified. Maybe these options are in order to report a sale there and pay Atom 10 percent commission because they are not approved marketplaces?

I just wanted to second this. There needs to be clarification on this @Atom.com

Thanks,
-Bob

Thanks for flagging this. Under our Partial Exclusivity Policy, the marketplaces where you can list a Premium domain yourself are Afternic and Spaceship. Collectively, they offer fairly wide coverage across major registrars.

We also keep expanding our own distribution network through direct partnerships with Dynadot, Porkbun, Alibaba and many others. Those are enabled automatically, so your listings reach them without any extra work from you. We're adding new partners almost every month.

Hi everyone, we've seen the questions regarding WLM, so let us clear this up and share the context behind the change.

First, the date. The correct deadline is October 6. The notice on the settings page briefly showed September 30, which was outdated copy on our end. That has been corrected.

Why we're doing this

Like most large marketplaces, we face regular DDoS attacks against our infrastructure. Defending against these at scale is exactly what Cloudflare does best. With the name server setup, your white label site is served through Cloudflare's network, one of the largest in the world, giving your site their SSL, bot protection, DDoS mitigation, and global caching. This comes at a real cost to us, and we're covering it: this stays free for all white label sellers.

What's changing

Instead of pointing an A record at our servers, your white label domain will use our name servers:
  • ns1.atom.com
  • ns2.atom.com
Your DNS records are then hosted on our name servers, and you can add and manage custom records (MX, TXT, CNAME, and so on) directly from your settings page, which wasn't possible with the A record setup. Your site traffic is routed through Cloudflare's network for protection and speed.

Full instructions: How to set up your white label marketplace

On email and MX records

Switching name servers does not move your email to us. Your mailboxes stay exactly where they are today, at whichever provider you use. What changes is where the DNS records pointing to your mail provider live. To avoid any email interruption, do it in this order:
  1. Before switching, note down all your current DNS records at your registrar (MX, SPF/TXT, DKIM, CNAMEs).
  2. Switch the name servers to ns1.atom.com / ns2.atom.com.
  3. Immediately add those same records back via Manage DNS on your settings page, pointing at the same mail provider you use now.

What happens after October 6

We encourage everyone to switch before then. We'll do our best to keep A record setups working beyond that date, but they'll sit outside Cloudflare's protection, so they may face service interruptions during attacks or traffic spikes. The name server setup is the supported path going forward.

@Atom.com The old view showed this interim/conf page when I clicked "upgrade to premium". It contained the name and a "yes" toggle making it clear which name was being submitted and that a coin was required.
Screenshot 2026-09-04 at 9.29.10 AM.png

The new layout/view only shows all my other names - and does not show the name I want to submit. It makes one uncomfortable because there is no way to ensure I've submitted the proper name. I think you need to bring back showing the name and the yes toggle on the name for submission.

@Atom.com Setting this, everything shows on Standard. But if I want only "see it live" and/or "comparable sales", I can't see a way to do that solely for minimal. As I said, if i click "also on minimal" it must be all or none. That is not the point of minimal, minimal needs a way to show only a subset of things.

And PS - "see it live" does not show on any of my landers now (standard or minimal) with these settings

Thanks for the ongoing feedback on our landing pages and site UX. We read all of it. A fair amount of it has already been incorporated.

We are rebuilding these pages to be leaner and more focused. Less clutter, fewer competing options on a page, and a clearer path for both buyers and sellers to get where they are going. The goals are conversion and usability. Make it easier for a buyer to find the right name and complete a purchase, and easier for a seller to list, manage and price inventory.

This is not limited to one or two pages. We are working through the site, including landing pages, the domains for sale pages, search, and the seller side. We ship in small increments and iterate quickly rather than sitting on a big redesign for months. So you may see different versions of a page depending on when you visit. That is on purpose. We have several A/B tests running. Every change gets measured against the current version, and we keep whichever one wins. We look at engagement first, things like bounce rate and time on page, then at inquiries and sales.

The core pages are a different story. Places you use every day, like the dashboard and listing management, work on muscle memory. Moving things around there costs you time even when the new version tests better. We have made a few passes at the dashboard recently, and that is enough for now. We do not plan any major changes there in the near future. Bug fixes and small improvements will continue, but the layout stays put.

Some of what we test will look worse to some of you. Sometimes the data disagrees with us too, and we roll it back. We would rather find out based on real data than guess.

Keep the feedback coming. Specifics help most. The page, the device, and what you expected to happen. We are fairly responsive on this and often act within hours.

Thanks very much for the clear outline of why the change is being made, and the how, including how to preserve mail or other settings.Nice also to have a few extra days from the date first posted.

OK so it is cleaar, thank you. Atom Premium can be listed (at 10% or more higher price and BIN only) at Spaceship and Afternic but not elsewhere.

I had not thought about your emerging network agreements with registrars, so Atom Premium get listed at places like Porkbun or Dynadot anyway without needing to be listed by owner.

Thanks,

Bob

Afternic's partners show Atom premium listings (which include Dyna, PB, and Alibaba Cloud).
Separate deals with Dyna, PB, & Alibaba Cloud help extensions that are not accepted on Afternic, but for legacy extensions and many gTLDs most of these partnerships are redundant.

Here is the full list of Afternic distribution partners sellers get access to (note it includes Namecheap):
https://help.afternic.com/s/article/Afternic-Partners

Then of course we can list on Spaceship as well.

Most of Sedo's partners are already Afternic partners so by Claude's count, that leaves the following 10 registrar partners without access to Atom Premium listings (these appear to be all Sedo Partners only).

1198.cn, Aruba, DonDominio, Epik, Fabulous.com, InterNetX, Key-Systems, Moniker, NetChinese, PartnerGate.

Perhaps @Atom.com can focus on direct partnerships with some of the largest from this list to ensure the most distribution possible. Two that stand out to me are:
1- Key-Systems appears the largest with 7 million domains under management.
2- Aruba has 2 million domains under management.

The rest appear smaller, so I'd focus on setting up distribution deals with those 2.

Either way, sellers should have confidence that with Afternic, Spaceship & Namecheap, and of course Atom itself; they aren't missing much in the way of reg path distribution.

I'm a bit surprised to load some of my domains at lunch and see that all the problems are still there.

The flaky formatting is bothersome, but the lack of a Description field on the Custom/Full Lander is very troubling as that's a key element IMO and it's just gone on my Custom Lander domains. Is there a marketplace setting that Atom might have changed that would cause this?

Minimal Landers also have display issues and now include fields like Domain Details, Related Keywords, "Does 'domain' fit your brand?", etc. that should NOT be visible.

To me, this is a really big mess because a) the reason I choose Minimal is that I don't want all that crap visible, and b) the reason I choose Custom is because I do want things like Description visible.

Okay, I just talked with Atom support and all my problems have been addressed, at least I hope so.

Apparently it comes down to a) Atom disabling some enabled Marketplace Settings combined with b) these settings are not displaying the updated setting information due to caching issues.

So while my Atom UI displayed Minimal Landers as Enabled, the support agent sent me a screenshot that it was actually Disabled at the system level, so she reset it. Bingo, the offending Domain Details et al fields disappeared. The same with the missing Description Field on Custom/Full Landers - this showed as Enabled in my UI but it was actually Disabled on their system. A quick reset and the descriptions immediately reappeared.

So if you run into similar problems, you can try the old Disable/Enable trick (or the reverse, depending on your setting) to see if you reset the Atom system back to the correct Marketplace Setting and have it display properly.

P.S. It doesn't look solved totally, as I just checked and my Descriptions had disappeared again and the Marketplace Setting had been reset to Disabled. Oh boy, fasten your seat belts, it's going to be a bumpy night.

P.P.S. My Minimal Lander setting also just reset and I had to Disable/Enable it to get things working properly. It seems like someone at Atom is continually resetting user options (or they just don't stick for any period of time) and it looks impossible to keep up.

@Atom.com

I would highly recommend users of Atom landers try to load some of their domains to see if Minimal Landers are working properly (1 page, nothing below the fold, i.e like Domain Details) and that all enabled fields (especially Description) are showing up on your Standard Landers.

Atom's ongoing retroactive corrections are appreciated, but it does little to justify placing MX records in their care. Stability is extremely inconsistent, configurations shift unpredictably, and user‑reported defects appear with near‑daily regularity.

Regarding my WLM and changing to use Atom NS -- I think I'm going to just use a different domain name from my portfolio for my Atom WLM (one that I don't have any other records like cname, MX, etc...).
