My advice to the owner @Precious Aiyejina . Keep it for the regtime you have left and post it on potdomains.com for over $1000 and see what happens.

First of all, remember I prefaced my comment with "IMO", and I'd like to believe the meaning of that is clear to everyone.

Now, I think that from a branding perspective, if one is referring to cannabis, then using "bud" without the 's' (as in BudEmpire) is ideal, whether you're referring to more than one bud or not. Given the choice, I would pick BudEmpire over BudsEmpire any day.

IMO again, 'H' in the name BudsHempire is really unnecessary. BudsEmpire would make more sense (just like I mentioned in my earlier post). Going further, assuming one had the choice, and their business has to do with hemp specifically, it would make even greater sense to eliminate the 'Buds' part, and just go with Hempire (which is a pretty cool, long-registered, name).

While 'bud' may mean 'buddy' or 'friend' in America, I really don't think that was what the OP had in mind while regging the name. So I gave my opinion based on them having cannabis in mind. This is a cannabis thread after all.

Finally, nowhere in my post did I "tell someone to drop a perfectly good domain they bought." I said I wouldn't hold onto it", meaning that, if I were in their shoes, I would drop the domain after the first year, and not necessarily immediately.

By all means they can list the name and see what happens.

Ok. Well it just goes to show that posts and domain names and whatever can be interpreted in different ways.

I think it's a great name if a company want to have a name that doesn't have a generic name. I see a lot of CHs on Squadhelp saying they don't want industry standard names.
