Looking for a domain name that might effectively convey my dislike of the current president, my subconscious stumbled across—MoronsForTrump.com.

I was sure it was taken, but no—and GoDaddy’s appraisal was $1350. I bought it—if only to tell fellow-leaning folks of my domain name.

The next day l was talking to an Afternic rep (among the best reps there are IMHO), and l mentioned MFG.com, and he laughed but then said it might well be a trademark infringement. I couldn’t quite savvy his reasoning, and l usually understand cybersquatting sins. Any considered opinions from NP members?

If l’m guilty, then so are the domain-name owners of ImmigrantsForTrump.com and MexicansFor Trump.com, which are facetious—I think.

Finally, l googled “Morons For Trump,” and saw it had 111 Likes on Facebook, which l believe has a buying/selling domain-name section—but when
I ask on NP about Facebook’s impact on domaining, l have received zero answers.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
On the face of it, I can't see a discernible reason why MFG.com, the self proclaimed "World's Largest Contract Manufacturing Marketplace" would be infringed by the name MoronsForTrump.com.

I just checked and Orange Man Bad isn't a trademark either :^|

I think you are safe using the word "Trump" in a political context.

In my opinion, negative names are a waste of money. #maga

Glad you took it in good humour. Personally visiting MFT.com from the UK is resulting in no page whatsoever other than an "Unauthorized" status code.
