Off-topic - I had no idea NP allowed multiple accounts per person. The vast majority of forums, even forums without a marketplace, forbid multiple accounts. This makes auctions and hand reg contests suspect. So much for integrity here on NP :xf.rolleyes:. Thank you for teaching me this.

On-topic - @Riz M. Why are you making this personal, private, childish, meaningless dispute public? Had you not posted this, then no one would ever know. Your motive is a bit suspect. Just sayin'. I'm not saying your sale is or isn't fake, but now I wonder.
@Riz M. and me both same country and i'm not operating multiple accounts @mani0307 my brother account and we are domaining full time

I am pretty sure that they don't! Is there not a NP rule that each account must be for a person, not a company, and that you can only have one. I agree there are all sorts of negative possibilities if multiple accounts are allowed per person.
Bob

Edit: I found the rule, I guess not as simple as I thought:

"1.16. Only one account is permitted per member unless it’s a Gold Account and all accounts are in good standing."

I'm not accusing you of anything.

However, this thread is shedding bright light on dark places.

send proof to namebio , dnjournal and ignore all others that
Curiosity kills them
Sale report has been published on Namebio.

As @Riz M. says that @mani0307 @Coinking both belong to the same guy who won recently held "Hand Reg Contest" based on popular votes.

Question is how many votes he casted on his submission from his different IDs? 😆

For clarification: Everyone is allowed to have exactly one free account (or one upgraded Blue Account) on NamePros, and all additional accounts must be upgraded to Gold Accounts.

Note: After reading your comment, I investigated and identified that no gold account was active on either, which violated the policy I outlined above, resulting in the duplicate account being closed.

In the future, it would be helpful if you could use the report link when you see something like this so we can identify with the situation sooner and take appropriate actions. If I hadn't just happened to be reading this thread, it may have taken a little longer (Or not at all), without a report.

I hope that helps explain better.

Thanks :)

Thanks Eric. The reason I did not report was because I did not actually look into the mentioned accounts nor did I fully understand if there was in fact a violation, as far as multiple accounts are concerned. I was merely commenting on Riz M's comment (on the other thread) about multiple accounts.

Then looked into the policies and the account upgrade page and commented about it, having never realized that it was even allowed. But did not really look into the actual allegations as they were irrelevant to the thread, IMHO.

So now, the way I understand now it, if you are willing to pay for multiple gold accounts, NP will allow multiple accounts to be used by the same person. If correct, IMHO, it's not advantageous to the integrity of such a community as NP, especially because it has a marketplace, to allow multiple accounts regardless if they are paid for or not. I am a member of many forums and multiple accounts are generally frowned upon or forbidden even if sales are not allowed on the forums. So for NP to allow it, seems to me a bit strange and sort of appalling. But that's just MHO, of course.

To clarify a little further, individuals and companies are distinct entities, and therefore, they deserve distinct accounts. For example, we have multiple users with personal accounts who work for GoDaddy, and there is also a company account for GoDaddy. Logically, this makes sense. If any of those personal accounts who work for GoDaddy want to login to the company GoDaddy account to provide support, that is a reasonable thing to do and allowed.

Some members also have multiple businesses and/or work with multiple companies, and it makes sense for each business to have its own identity on NamePros for the same reason. Distinct identities are especially important if those companies have more than one person who work for them, but it's also sensible to have a distinction when it's only a single person behind each company.

With that in mind, it would be impractical for us to enforce that every Gold Account be a separate business, so in order to allow the scenarios described above, the rules are simple: everyone is allowed one personal account (free or Blue) and an unlimited number of Gold Accounts (formerly called Business Accounts), if all of their accounts are in good standing.

I hope that helps explain everything.

I thought staff accounts were different/separate from Gold accounts, and required verification of being staff of X company. I guess I was wrong

It's important to note two things:
  1. While a single person is allowed to have more than one Gold account, they are not allowed to misuse those accounts. There are rules that specifically forbid misuse. Examples:
  2. Multiple Gold accounts increases the integrity and security of NamePros far superior to other platforms that don't allow it because it provides us with additional information that enables us to catch more fraud before it ever happens. That additional information would not be possible without allowing multiple Gold accounts. Therefore, it increases our ability to detect misuse and prevent it from happening again in the future, so as far as integrity and security is concerned, allowing multiple Gold accounts is a big advantage to the entire community.

Hope that helps,
