Just wondering what the general thoughts are about whether the recent trend to legalize marijuana will boost the prices of pot-related domains?

Thinking with all this publicity that this auction got, (if possible to renew) , would do that!
Day 25 Domain is put up for domain name auction. You can manually recover your expired domain name or place a bid on the domain name through auction.
Day 36 If there are no backorders and no bidders in the domain name auction, we list the domain name in a final closeout auction. You can place a bid on the domain name through auction. This is the final chance to register the domain name before it is returned to the registry.
If a domain name registered with us after May 2, 2005 expires, we automatically list it for auction on GoDaddy Auctions® 25 days later. You can bid on any expiring domain name listed at GoDaddy Auctions.
The current registrant can reclaim the domain name from redemption up to 30 days after expiration. If the current registrant renews the domain name, we cancel the auction and refund any bids.
OMG. You are really totally SEO ignorant. Just like the one who let this domain drop. Ever heard 301? Hint: no, it's not 420-119.The buyer of The 420 Times dot com needs content which they don’t have.
Just to help out any newbies or learner domainers, or anyone mystified by some unattractive domain names selling at high prices in auctions or dropcatching, people put xxxx values on domains with lots of (hopefully good) links to them because they can 301 redirect them to another domain so the second domain's website gets a big boost in search results.Ever heard 301?

Thanks for the input Briguy. While 420Jolt was and still is available to register vs. Jolt420, my experience and opinion is what sounds the best like Colt45 or Indy500. I did notice that GD's appraisal system appraised all my "420" domains higher when 420 came after the name and not before it. That said, thanks for your feedback and sharing your opinion.Just my thoughts...420Jolt..(etc) cannabis infused drink.
General rule of thumb that I use is main keyword first..
Yes @Leafurl sure has been a asset to this thiread..he know his busine$$!
Leafcomfort.com$ 50 ?Comfortleaf.com$950
Leafcomfort.com$ 50
$1000 sold Godaddy
My sale
This is I where I think Leaf is at. $1000 to $3000. I will sell in this range.
Interesting..coming after the keyword! Guess there are exception to my "rule of thumb" ..I did notice that GD's appraisal system appraised all my "420" domains higher when 420 came after the name and not before it. That said, thanks for your feedback and sharing your opinion.
4-twentyLeafcomfort.com$ 50 ?
Interesting..coming after the keyword! Guess there are exception to my "rule of thumb" ..
Curious, how do you say out loud , "420" ..is it 4-2-0 or 4-twenty?
Thanks!4-twenty
Except for 420 day festivals, 420 isn't really used too much by users. It only relates to recreational use and has a 'stoner' connotation. Not used to describe medical or hemp. The longer cannabis is legal, the less I see it referenced.
I don't trust appraisals. Means little twords the future. It only is a now metric.
And now, I actually had a bunch of inquiries and a okay sale this week. A multinational pet chain actually inquired on a pet domain in Leaf.
If I listened to anyone on Leaf and or my domain portfolio I'd simply become depressed at times. Few would even understand that I would sell out a canna and or weed domain to maintain my roi on Leaf.
I literally would drop many of my names onto a storefront in Photoshop and think hmm does this work? Did this on chip bags and edible cookies too. How is a evaluation on GD going to do this. Or 420Jolt ( buy both)that would look awesome on a beer tap.
Was at a bar last night watching the Browns obsessing over beer taps, thinking hmm how would Leafizz be applied , It's a example of my obsession. Conclusion a light fresh fizzy drink ( with thc )like a Savignon Blanc on tap with a fruity fizz. Leafizz, low calorie light 0 hangover.
I started in this industry ( 30 years in cut flowers prior as a grower and marketing guy in floriculture ) but only a few years ago on domains and enviorment controls. A few years ago few even had a chance to own and or enter this industry ( cannabis )legally. I'm heavy into Cea ( controlled enviorment agriculture ), remember explaining to a Trademark court on a Leaf brand, how people will in the future grow food ( and marijuana) in controlled environments. They were like what? This was just 2 years ago. I won the trademarks after substantial legal fees. My $375 a hour legal team did a major breakdown on Leaf, and the trademarks in play. I then was like huh? Game on
To see Cronos quadruple in value on some dream, Corona, Smirnoff, and Coke all in the last few weeks, should give all of us substantial confidence.
As well as a ton of new movement in new states. New Jersey, recreational as a open dialage in the midterns.
Its happening
Sales reported on Namebio today - not mine
herb.ly 2,247 USD 2018-09-21 Park.io
herbalpetmeds.com 700 USD 2018-09-21 Flippa
hempfitness.com 375 USD 2018-09-21 GoDaddy
Kinda of my thinking but instead of " noun" (verb, adjective), main keyword (can a verb, noun, adjective etc) first, (Google search # usually decides it for me! I always say the name out loud!420 isn't being used as a number in this case, it's code for "cannabis" so think of it as a noun. When you use 420 (a noun) to describe a product (Jolt, Coffee, Brownies) the "noun as adjective" always comes first.
What kind of Jolt? Cannabis Jolt. 420Jolt
Of course, that's just grammar and sometimes things work best when the rules are broken!
