Samsung WMR not coming to the EU
https://www.windowscentral.com/samsungs-windows-mixed-reality-headset-isnt-coming-europe
Sorry @cordoba , I know you had your money reserved for that.
Perhaps I can ship you one.
I'm willing to bet (guessing) it does not meet the EU's privacy agenda yet. (that I respect)
They may be needing to make a different software package for ya before release.

Samsung's Project Beyond 17 lens 4k cam now has a product face for retail...

I might note that something is wrong with the specs listed there. Not sure if it is a misprint or not.
One of those mode resolutions is wrong but not sure which one.

Going to be a nice xmas , even for names... LOL , better if we all can afford what we want LOL

The Samsung Round 360 records live 4K 360-degree video with spatial audio

Samsung is showing off a new Samsung Round 360 video camera for virtual reality at its Samsung Developer Conference in San Francisco.

The new camera can capture 4K video in 360 degrees, allowing a viewer to see everywhere at once in either a livestream or recorded video. The Samsung Round 360 has 17 camera lenses, and it will be available in the fourth quarter.

I got a hands-on look at the Samsung Round 360 at the SDC event. The camera’s real-time video output looked great on a Samsung 4K monitor. But it was pretty blurry when I watched it on a Samsung Gear VR headset with a Samsung Galaxy S8 screen.

Damn that's really annoying. Maybe I should wait for the Oculus Go then. I think VR is bigger in Europe than the USA as well, just like 3D TV always was, so I assume you must be right about the privacy thing.

There are a number of websites that will carry out purchases on behalf of European customers American goods that don't ship here directly. I remember I bought the RealTouch in that way (I'm sure you're the only one here apart from me that remembers that product). Sometimes it's no more expensive too because European prices are usually higher.

In other news, I've finally got around to putting some of my 2000 names up for sale on Sedo. A couple are already getting interest. Only put ChernobylVR up last night and already had a couple of visitors. ShoppingVR is having a steady little stream of traffic too.

Well, I wish we had some of those privacy rules here in the states. The company's seem to make the rules here and our government is not allowed to do the same data collection and profiling. So they just subpoena the private profile info from them when they want it. But as it sits in a database somewhere waiting to be hacked, and/or used in ways nobody thought of yet. Not good for anyone.

But I think having 'all your names' listed with a top platform right now is a must.
I did just drop my listings with Flippa and Afternic because it was to much to manage so many names with different options with so many DLS platforms. Hard to keep your pricing adjusted as the market changes.
And I was having browser related issues with some and needed to eliminate the hassles.
Skinny and manageable going forward.

Believe it or not, 4K is almost a minimum for recording in VR,
For in a HMD you are only looking at 1.2m image. Divided by 2 for 3d is a 640k image.
Which is why that reporter thought it was a bit blurry on the Galaxy VR.
He was looking at a 640k x2 image on a 4k screen,
and on the monitor, he was looking at all of a 2k image on a 4k device.

But I did not think this is a $10K device. It's more of a pro-cumer device and should be priced at about $2K.
But they do have a large memory capacity to help with streaming and that does add to the cost.
It does have a on-board computer probably more similar to a advanced smartphone cpu.
If this were a 8K cam, (2x4K@60fps) I might understand that price tag.
So while I was looking forward to this device for 2 years now, by the time it is being delivered,
I'm not so hot on it, unless the price drops under $1200. Yet one more review...

And if you replace 'windows mixed reality' with vr :

https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?q=virtual reality,Augmented Reality,Mixed Reality,vr,3d

Another lesson from the your first trends graph is that a high percentage of searches for 'mixed reality' are in fact searches for 'windows mixed reality'. So I don't think Elad should be getting too excited yet about the term 'mixed reality' itself starting to go mainstream. It's also misleading because most people are typing VR now instead of virtual reality, and even AR instead of augmented reality, whereas practically nobody is searching for 'mr' meaning 'mixed reality'.

Well, there is a lot more to know about how that trend data is compiled.
In order to really know something about it, you have to break it down because it can be very misleading.
On the surface as I use it here, it is just for generalizations.
Google has determined that many of the searches for VR are for 'VR BANK'.
And that has been out there since I first started looking at it over 5 years ago.
But VR and VIRTUAL REALITY generally translate as the same in results.
So I guess what I am saying is the results are always skewed based on what Google does with associations.
A search for VR goGGle is more often will return results for VR gOOgle so it depends on the where and how the data is compiled. Before or after the association/translation. Look at the sub-data.
https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=today 5-y&q=VR goggle,VR google
But over time they have created a association for themselves. Nobody stands a chance at getting that traffic from google sites or related material.
I have spent a good deal of time trying to get a handle on it and not easy to do.

No Company I know of that specialize in just that. Some marketing and advertising co's do it.
Are you needing the info on how to do it yourself or just looking for a target to pitch a name to ?
Easy to do yourself if that's all your looking for.

I guess you're in need of a custom AR tracker. Have you looked into Augment.com? They will do what you need but might be overkill price wise. Your other best option is to post your need in this facebook group referencing the services of Augment.com (custom logo with custom tracker). A lot of people have been posting their AR and VR needs there and individuals and companies have been replying right there which is pretty helpful. Very active. https://www.facebook.com/groups/Virtual.Realities/

This is huge! One of the number-one source of complaints about the Hololens was the limited FOV... This could be great for all "HOLO" and "AR" name holders!
