Hello everyone,

I have been interested in liquid domains, mostly 4L.coms. These domains are not completely proper to reach endusers as a matter of course. I have been in the sector approximately 1.5-2 years and I can say that all transactions (buying&selling) were investor to investor.

In short, I buy a domain. List on the secondary markets. Wait. Wait. Wait.
And the biggest action which I take is putting these names to auction. :)
Basically, I can say that I dont do anyting much.

This is not my core business. I didnt have so much time. But nowadays I have some time which I want to spend for this business. I would like to take an action but as said before I dont think that my portfolio (4L.com) is not proper for reaching enduser. I could not reach anyone. I had tried a couple of times.

I would like to change my strategy. Actually I think that I go on the same strategy. I mean I am just waiting for liquid domains. But at the same time, I would like to create another portfolio with domains which have enduser potential like keywords, sectoral, geo domains.

About that I would like to hear your experience and I need your suggestions. Is this a valid business model ? Can you reach right people easily ? Do you receive a reply ? What kind of strategies do you use ? Is there any source which you suggest ?

Shortly if you lead the way, i will appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

Big questions but yes outbound email and phone is good. Try searching the forum. There is a lot of info about this.

Though I am a new fish in the domain arena of gladiators, my recent observations have been that you only get to sell your domains faster if you contact endusers whose businesses match your domain name and also whose established websites dont have a domain name as catchy as yours.

Sides this, i wont lie, its a hell of an Herculean task trying to sell to endusers, especially those with established 'niche-targeted' domain names.

Yes I guess some questions are too general for answering. Lets focus on specific ones. Especially I am wondering what is the percentage of receiving a reply when you send an email.

And is there any advantage to publish these name on the website ?

It depends on the level of end user need. Ever since I became a domainer in d last 2 months and bought my first 2 domains, I never realized it would take this long selling despite having 'good' domain names with high estibot values. I have sent 100s of messages but guess what?.... I'm still stuck in a hole.

At the same time, I still believe luck has some role to play in successful enduser sales, though unusual that may be in certain situations. So brav, i'll say your success depends majorly on contacting the right and interested parties, not by percentages of mails sent. Mass mailing even in my opinion isnt advisable, as i have found out it isn't always a successful strategy.
