Well this thread hasn't turned out the way I expected it to, but I think it's more interesting with the broader base of replies - not many .news tlds though. .

247news.net is in our group and has been since the 90's
Turned down lots of offers from major media in the 90's

We run a large autopilot via 1newsnet.com

It aggregates over 2000 major bureau stories a day and autopilots to twitter and FB

I doubt they're 'for sale' but you never know

But it would have to be serious money, very serious

It's custom in that the plugins exist but you got a lot of work setting up feeds and then custom work to either spin it or source it so it shows enough of a difference to be indexed

News is a big traffic thing, if you get it indexed right

Oh, we just got back a name we developed in the 90's that was lost for years in that reg fly disaster

Everytime anyone would try to use it, we'd C&D the network it was on so it finally cleared drops

I doubt it's open to sell but who knows if you want to PM offers

We have a ton of original work on 247news.net but now the 1NewsNet.com is a search engine resource for news tied to the 1Search Project we run

As long as you source the original site, they're open feeds almost every news feed, the only news sites trying to keep their content closed is NYT and WP, other than that, news sites like people sourcing it, they all want more traffic so having their sites sourced is free PR for them, it's kinda of an honor to be big enough for us to use a feed from you.

Basically the way 1 news works is any time a story is breaking it has all the major bureaus angles on the story within 30 or so minutes, so you search and instead of 1 angle you see how all the major bureaus are covering the story.

I only use 1 News and 247 News now myself, it's that good, way better than any 1 bureau could ever be and since it runs under the 1 Search project, it's technically a new NEWS search engine

The way we did it, any org complains we could argue fair use or if we want remove everything from any feed with just 1 button click

So it's done right

I myself think the fakenews.com is a waste of time, since the term will die when Trump is out of office, solid news terms .com are all worth huge money

Anyway we have some nice tld's with the big phrase 247news and it could be sold with a clone and then we change it enough to get whatever you want indexed

We won't clone our original stuff on 247news.net but the 1NewsNet.com project has 40K+ articles already and almost 30K are indexed and that's around 30 days of autopilot

We had the site for years doing nothing but some minor development and then this year it was one of hte autopilot projects we worked on and a site with zero alexa is now 10Mil and dropping to where it should easily be 1Mil or better in a short time

Anyway, yeah we got news sites and content that can be cloned and the know how to do it right

So if anyone has a nice budget pm, it's not gonna be cheap
