.xyz also means little universe
reg numbers and popularity in the china market are a consideration but mostly you have to be willing to set up an office in china and be willing to work with their back end providers, comply with reporting,standards, etc.
All reasonable requirements to protect their market. It takes a lot of work, paper trails, and investment so hat's off to those who put in the effort.
China buyers are still buying those not approved like .red, .dog, .fish as collectables

Exciting! I have some .xyz and .club. But no .vip.

It looks like it just jumped to 80% in a matter of minutes.

Alibaba is also the leading company in terms of market share at 62%.

The 80% is the Geographic Spread for 2016-12-05

The number below, overall is 64.5%. So I guess that should go up. It was already pretty high for China, just 7% United States.

I'm not sure. The only ones I was aware of were .XYZ and .Club due to the blog posts on Allegravita.com.

I actually only invest in .XYZ but I also purchase the other legacy extensions (if I can) whenever I develop a website so I don't lose traffic.

Yeah .. but that was likely $9,999,900 for the business .. and giving the benefit of the doubt absolute beyond maximum value of $100 for the actual sling.xyz domain (probably more like $20 after the little post-approval bubble dies off)

Just bought an interesting Chinese pinyin in the .de (Germany) extension Caifu.de We read an article about Chinese students flocking to Germany so we'll see-this is a long term hold so no rush and our first .de-the .com or .cn of this pinyin is def. worth over $3 million USD.

Thank you -we actually own the word "caifu" in a good portion of the European extensions .de .ch and .be Germany Swiss and Belgium. What I find interesting is that most of the other extensions for this word are owned by Chinese even .es and .cz ( Spain and Czech. )
