In March of 2016 @steitieh was found guilty of shill bidding on NamePros with @tha-she. While these two members are no longer permitted to conduct business with each other here, @steitieh is still able to participate in the marketplace and carries an undeserving PRO badge.

Recently, Rami was accused of shill bidding again. However, the evidence is circumstantial, at best, but it's admitted by him that he had close personal acquaintances bid on his auctions – something that we all know that most other marketplaces would never tolerate.

Beware: if you choose to bid on one of @steitieh 's auctions, know that someone else may be purposefully bidding you up.

.

You joined less than a month ago and you're already leaving?

Yes, going to take a break from domaining and sit on what I have for awhile. I'm buying too much lol (my portfolio jumped from 3 to 35, which isn't a lot to most of you, but it's more than I can remember half the time hahaha)

Anyway, again, my experiences with Rami have been nothing but positive.

How is stieth wife doing, it's been at least a year since the blogs all helped him get the word out with his plight. I hope she's better?

I checked the fund page that was created but didn't see an update.

Shill bidding should always be looked into if there is cause. Looking at bidding pattern/history that has been linked to in this thread it looks at best very suspicious, and at worst complete fraud. Leaving positive feedback for a transaction that never completed goes to show what type of character someone has. That person is interested in gaming the system. Also, bidding on tons of auctions of the same seller, and then not paying for the ones you win is about as obvious as you can get. And I loved the analogy someone wrote about bringing things up to the cash register knowing you have no money in your pocket, laughed at that. We're not talking thousands of dollars. If you bid a hundred or two and you can't pay then you're a complete moron (sorry) or you are actively shill bidding.

Reputation in this biz just ain,t as important as it used to be. :xf.frown:
Unfortunately, I smeared my reputation through the dirt by opening a few threads. But, if you don't call BS out when you see it, it just keeps rolling down the hill.
I bought total 2-3 domains from rami.. maybe total of $70. for the names I got, the prices seemed reasonable.
I'd go back and look to see if any of these mentioned members appeared in those auctions. If so, the problem is, you might've over paid for your domains. Even though you're satisfied with paying that amount, it might've been too much.

Taking a break already after assisting your friend and mentor @steitieh in his shill ring already, huh?

Edit: Link added to 2nd auction participated in. Circumstantial evidence that there's more than 3 people involved now.

true. I am like you all for justice and ensuring guilty are penalized. but justice is also about ensuring innocents are not penalized. so the job of judge is never easy.

that being said the mods of namepros have imo many tools beyond and above rest of us, so I can't really see how figuring this out in a definite way could be an impossible task. it may not even be hard to do at all.

I did transact with the person so like others I do not want to have impression something went wrong. but again, my dealings were around 70$ total. and couple of domains. so I am not in same group as those who may have bought domains for $300-500 etc, if any of this is true, of course.

that being said, if the mod wishes to investigate anything, here below is my purchase. I am always glad to help penalizing those who deserve it, as well as to ensure innocents are left alone. I am sure David here is striving for same things in the end.

I'll be blunt. Fuck you for even implying I'm a shill. I'll show, with Rami's permission, all of our freaking PM's of me WANTING to buy domains like pictured.net but it quickly fell out of my budget. Go screw yourself for even making the implication. I'm out.

Edit: Leave out all the VERIFIABLE purchases I made from him too! You're such a scientist!

Edit 2: I BOUGHT Authoring.net, which you linked, sir. #suchashill

Edit 3: Eric was even in on the PM where I bought Authoring.net from him, verifiable by staff.

#Rami should be banned because i saw many useless thread but #Dnbank intersted in every useless thread ! If u make a bid of 1$ , than surely #Dnbank will bid of 10 or more ? What is the fact ? See all the thread of #Rami . Agree that both are good friend but why they are shilling ! I have many friends on NP but did not say anyone to bid on my auction . Beware ! #Rami and #Dnbank should be banned . Thanks

Yes, excuse my language please, I am very upset right now. I've got PayPal transactions and bank statements to back I paid Rami for the domains I bought from him. And he DID strongly imply I'm a shill.

Since we're investigating publicly.....

@Skyvisum is another member with an odd fascination with Rami's auctions.... see for yourself:

https://www.namepros.com/search/824505/

He even got involved in a bidding war with DNBank in the infamous pictured.net auction, which bumped the price from $110 to $600..... ! What are the odds of that?
https://www.namepros.com/threads/pictured-net.976465/page-2#post-5778212

Most recently, Skyvisum won Rami's auction for whatbig.com. Feedback was exchanged by both parties, despite the whois still showing rami's name 5 days later.

Skyvisum's recent feedback for Rami follows a familiar style as well:

Another great deal and buy from the most Guaranteed Seller on here.Highly recommended A++++

Super seller with a good heart.Transaction completed in seconds..Highly recommended.AAAAAAAAA++++++

Well, then you don't have to worry bout nothing. Again, I'm telling you, you are not part of this mean issue. So don't get yourself worn out; like Donald Trump. You will grow gray hair at young age. :)

The problem with @steitieh's shills is that sometimes, they do win, and do receive the domain. However, we cannot confirm whether money changed hands, or if the domain is just being held. People need to come to their own conclusions... especially after seeing 5 cases where @tha-she didn't receive the domain, but there being several cases where she had.

$46 was for Authoring.net and @Eric Lyon was even in on the convo.
One was for Grater.net ($29.99) and the other was for Spawned.net

Satisfied?

Let's not forget how easy it is to fabricate "evidence" for something like this. A little photoshop can go a long way. Speaking generically of course...

Thanks. That explains your purchases, but not your bidding intentions on pictured.net and others. Could it be perhaps that you were participating in a larger shill ring? I don't know. I'm not the judge here. It's just all very suspicious that you're bidding up your mentor's domain names.

I wanted pictured.net but I stopped bidding when it got crazy high. Do you want invites to my PMs for crying out loud????

I'm good. I'm not accusing you.

Just putting the information out there and trying to determine who else is involved.

I am. And to whoever said photoshop... photoshop that in 1 minute and get back to me. Hell, I'll even invite you to a livestream of my paypal if you're going to try to tarnish my name here. Or am I streaming a video edit at that point? Geez, folks. I'm sorry i even said anything in this thread.

Edit: It was brought to my attention there's even more than meets the eye with this situation. So I understand the accusations here, by lighten up, you guys are making accusations towards the innocent.
