This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

Do not post only, "great sale" or similar as this doesn't contribute to the thread. (Don't reply for the sole purpose of complimenting.)
  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

******WindowTreatments in .com @ $250 (acquired here at NP for $4 on 6/12/16)

Emailed 47 potential buyers at $349, received a reply asking about traffic, I explained it had only 4-5 visits/mo, but pointed to inherent authority / value of city+keyword domains and potential uses, buyer responded w/ $250 offer and I accepted. Payment via PayPal.

Which sources did you use to scope out potential buyers? (if you don't mind me asking!)

Cheers

dude... regardless of the name, you should've asked...
if a customer is paying for GD buy service, then you could've sold the name for 4 Figures EASY!
Someone is paying $69 just to test the waters would definitely go for 15x easy! anyways, thats history

For me, the experience is what matters, not the money.
At least for now.
Thank you for the info.

Sure, no problem! I just searched for the exact term in Google (and Bing!) and went through the first 6-7 pages or so of each, and then did some sleuthing to find a contact email associated with the given site (process below). Don't limit yourself to Google; Bing will oftentimes bring up less visible potential leads who are basically nowhere to be found in Google results...and as a result, sometimes those leads with lower visibility or weaker online presence can be more receptive to the idea of investing in the domain you're selling.

My process for finding an email is to (1) Visit the site and look for on-site email. If nada, (2) I'll search WHOIS. (3) If private, I'll visit their FB page and navigate to the "About" tab, as many businesses list a contact email there. If nothing there, (4) I'll search Google for "email @example.com" or "info @ example.com" and see if anything comes up (to see if listed on any business directories or similar). If nothing, (5) I'll try jamming potential email address, e.g. "info @ example.com" through GWhois.org (phenomenal resource, IMHO) and see if it returns a valid email (like so: gwhois.org/[email protected]). If that doesn't work, (5b) I'll try to guess the owner or decision maker's email by also jamming that through GWhois.org, like firstname @ example.com, f.lastname @ example.com, and so on. Hope that helps!

great job again
scuse me, but does one get same exposure in the end (during reg searches etc) when his listing is on GD auctions with buynow, versus listed as premium (which also requires buynow). or are they independant.. and one can even end up with 2 different buynow prices on those two somehow. mighty confusing.

I do know that if you list as premium listing then the domain gets added as buy it now in godaddy auctions,
